capital management services a debt collector.  here's something from ripoff report

Capital Management Services LP aka Resurgent Capital Services LP is claiming I owe a debt of $40.88 for an account that was paid in full over a year ago with the original creditor. They've called, written, and generally not disclosed any validity of the debt despite numerous requests. I looked them up under the Buffalo BBB and they have numerous complaints. Seems they've got nearly as many phone numbers as well. Here's the contact information I was able to find on the company.

They are rude need some serious professional skills.

False claims of unpaid debt trying to settle for a lump sum

"LVNV Funding is committed to maintaining the highest integrity in all of its activities, and to ensuring its customers are treated fairly and with respect."  HAAAAAAAA  HAAAAAAAAAAAAA  (((((( Yes, that is what their Web site says. )))))))

Yet the company is suing countless Americans, at any given time, over old consumer debt bills that have expired long ago.
How can they respect someone they are trying to swindle for hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars? That is a question that many Americans are asking themselves about LVNV funding and it is connections of debt collection.

LVNV Funding is a company of lots of names............ Resurgent Capital Services, LP, LVNV Funding Capital Management Services, Astra, Venta, among others;......................... but they are all one in the same according to many internet sources. That is something you can bank on.
LVNV funding is simply a junk debt collector; who buys old expired debt for pennies on the dollar. Then in turn around and contact the customers and try to collect the money on these old expired debts.

I Keep getting calls from this number. I have No idea who this is because they don't leave a message.  I know I don't owe them any money, so I am not sure why they are calling my number.

Bad company. Trying to collect on a debt that is more than 15 years old. I guess they didn't read that the statute of limitations is 7 years. This debt has been charged off and fallen off my credit report. Further more the credit card company that they are claiming I owe, I have a current and valid credit card through them that's in good standing. Don't give these people any money. They're predatory. Know your rights through the fair consumer reporting act. If you believe you owe the debt contact the people you owe the money to directly. They are trustworthy and will work with you to settle the debt.
