Got a call from south atlantic money management, actually my boyfriends mother on her cell and my boyfriends cell...claiming to collect a debt for a closed bank account from us bank dating jan 2006 to mar 2007. Told him I wanted to verify the validity and he was ok with that, called me back to lock in the balance and waive accrued interest fees, just needed to post date a payment from me so I could take care of this matter. Gave him empty balance card number...hung up and called us bank. After talking things over with manager of branch, he convinced me to call states attorney office. Upon doing so, she stated it sounded most likely as a scam and to call dept of commerce to check licensing in my state. End result, they are a scam company whom has no legal right to even try collecting on debt. I called bank card to report stolen card and called "samm", joeseph watley, back and stopped all payment and requested contact info for any and all companies related to this claim and his company...waiting back to hear, although he did leave voicemail  starting he got info, but didn't think I was going to like," but it its what it is". What is that supposed to mean? Now I wait til monday seeing as how he is out of the office friday. Super pist and feeling stupid for thinking he seemed legit!

Update me please. I got a call from them but i have not called them back cause im so use to these scammers pulling this crap off.

Got a call from 407 573 2307 saying missing important info and call their office before close.like it was a matter of life n death.Then they said to call 866 248 8748 now!! I have not called.

Do not give these people nothing. They are trying to collect on debts over 7 years old that have been written off. They are scammers trying to collect money not due them claiming it will help your credit. Which is untrue items they are trying to collect on are off credit report after 7 years. SCAMMERS!!!!

I just received a message from 1-866-248-8748 and they said I owe some money, they said the company was Sam and Associates and his name was Mr.Diamond.

They're scam artist. I got a call from a Mr. Diamond threatening to take me to civil court cause I owed money from a loan I took out in 2010. I did my homework and I never took a loan out and was never served with court papers. 866-248-8748 Mr. Diamond can SUCK IT!!

They just called here and wanted my son he doesn't live here. He is married, I have told them this is my and my husband phone so stop calling here.

I got a call from this number every single day 18662488748 threatening me about going into court and give me different file claimed numbers and I don't know what they're talkin about and they're saying "Goodluck to you" and your case.

Got a call from Sally at the same company!  They are scammers do not answer do not send anything!!!!

Just got a call from this number asking me to call them back urgent and settle because if not they will pass my case to a lawyer and will go to court. The point is that they didn't say what company or account and even worst, I don't even have credit cards or loans!

I just recieved a call from a Sally Thompson.  She claims to be from SAMM and Associates.  This woman has a heavy Eastern accent and left me a message quite threatening.  Claims that she hasn't heard back from me or representing council.  She has tried to call me one other time and I didn't call her back then either.  I'm so sick and tired of phoney companies and scam artists.  Why does the FCC allow these numbers to be issued if they are scammers?  I will take my chances and not call Ms Thompson back.  After reading the threads on this site, I'm quite sure this is not a legitimate organization and furthermore, why wouldn't I have recieved something in writing to at least solidify the alledged debt?  

i just got a call from allen martin twice from sam and associate. saying if i dont return their call in 24hrs they were taking me to court. thank for the comments guys i will just ignore these foney boneys. ha!ha!.

On answering machine....Same type of call saying I was a "person of Interest" in a fraud case involving Irma ( last name was mumbled.  Docket#240357 in Sussex County.  Call me back at 1-866-248-8748 x1001.  Being In law enforcement for the past 14 yrs, I know better than to return the call.  It is a SCAM.  The dude is a bottom feeder, scum of the earth...feeding off the innocent and lawful.

I know today I received a phone call from a local number and happened to be from this company in Florida. States they are a legal place trying to collect debt from internet payday loans.  I guess there were three of them that were trying to come after me, but I haven't received anything in writing from anyone pertaining this at all.

I'm embarrassed to say this, but I actually fell for these a**holes. I have avoided these scam things a lot of times. But they got me! Called me from a local number and saying they were taking me to court unless I want to settle my debt with a payment plan. I didn't think to do my research as I was at work and very busy. They had some information on something that was on my credit and made it seemlike this was what they were calling about. I set up a payment plan and paid them over the last 8 weeks. I paid them a little over $400. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE PEOPLE!!! THEY ARE NOT LEGIT!!!

Received a call from this phone #  on 8/15/2014 @ 8:30a.m.-- gave Docket #255219 -- stating that this is an attempt to collect a debt &  a 'final decision' regarding this case will be made -- since they haven't heard from me.  Tried to call the phone # back -- but call didn't go through -- the phone just disconnected after dialing the #.  Thanks to the responses I've read on this site -- I WILL NOT answer the phone when the number comes up and will NOT call them back!  Thank you everyone!

I just received a call from South Atlantic Money Management and spoke to a very rude guy.  First he called my cell, which showed up a number from my hometown.  Being that I don't answer unknown numbers I let it right hoping that they would leave a message if it was important.  No message was left, so I called back just to see who it was.  They said they were from South Atlantic Money Management.  Since I had no clue who that was I said "Sorry wrong number" and hung up. Well, sure enough he called back again but this time on a blocked number.  When I didn't answer he called my work phone and I answered.  Stated I owed two payday loans back in 2010 totaling $1020.  He said a letter was mailed to my house (which I never saw), and that they have been trying to contact me for a while.  I said I needed a letter showing proof and not to call my work phone and hung up on him.  He calls back my work phone and says, "well do you want me to call your husband, will he be more of an adult about this".  I told him I did not want him to call my work or my cell or anyone else about this loan.  That I needed a letter so I can verify what they say I owed and for what company.  The guy was very rude on the phone saying I needed to pay what I owed.  I told him I had him recorded (which I did) and that I know my rights.  He said he would send me something in email by the end of the day.  Let's see where that goes.  I'm tired of these people calling me and harassing me.

Yeah I got a text that was from my friend stating that the 18662488748 was needing to get a hold of me. So I called it and they said they had to set something up for payment right then and there that day I told them it would have to pay Friday. But I did give a route number then I said I had to call the bank for my account # then I looked on here and saw that it was a fraud so I never called them back they said they would send me papers in the mail to sign. But they would need a payment Friday. So then they called me back at a local number so plz anyone who gets this don't fall for it.
