NCO Financial - collection agency

This is a Collection Agency looking for someone that does NOT live here and they WON'T Believe me =/

This is NCO.  They call from different numbers. so far i have tracked them as 8662489654  and 800-414-4352..according to consumer legislation calls are to be limited to 3 times a week.  its been 4 already. time to formally place complaint and possibly start legal action.

And by the way, I owe nothing!!!

We get these at least once a day.  I have just stopped answering it.  They are out of their minds.  I've told them at least 3 times they have the wrong number, but I see it coming up over and over.  Last time they said they were calling on behalf of a bank.  This would mean that one of the "big five" Canadian banks condones their behaviour, as they have outsourced their collections to them!  Pathetic.

It depends what province or state you live in as to how many times they can call you a week😊

Get the book, "Wolf at the door" which is for Canadians having trouble with debt collection. It gives really good information on how to stop these calls and other points. Never acknowledge who you are, never talk to them, call block and finally if by chance you talk to them, ask for there mailing address and send a registered letter stating that any future contact can only be made by mail. Further inform them that failure to comply is reportable to legal and governmental bodies. Naturally if a different agency starts calling you have to repeat the process. Hope this helps.

Keeps calling and leaving voice mail for a Diane Cardinal - my voicemail states my name and it is not Diane...have to call them back right away- 888-889-9380 Ext 38....

Persistent calls for a person I've never heard of and who allegedly owes money to RBC.  I'm going to double check all my closets to make sure that the person they are trying to contact isn't hiding in them and then I'm going to complain directly to RBC .  It is, after all, their reputation that is being tarnished by the incompetence of these idiots.  And I will call NCO three times weekly for the next year just to annoy them.  It's toll free and I have lots of time.
