This number keeps calling us. We don't answer though.

This number has been calling our unlisted number several times a day for weeks. Don't recognize number...don't answer.

I am on do not call list, but still get this one

This number has been calling us for months. They don't respond when answered. VERY irritating

They call and do not answer.  I am on the do not call list.

This call comes in many times weekly. Why when you repeatedly don't answer they continue to call.  This is very annoying. I come in and my answering machine is full of hang ups from this number and others like it.  If it is so important to call numerous times why not leave a MESSAGE!

I called this number and the answering machine said that it was DISCOVER CARD trying to sell something!  Why dont they just put "Discover Card" on the caller ID?

This number is related to Discover CreditCard - if you have one or have ever had one they give your number to their subsidiary companies to sell you things such as theft protection, insurance, etc.

I finally called the number back and yes,it is Discover.  The guy said the calls are computer generated and that he has been getting a lot of calls like mine.  He said he would put me on the do not call list but if I still have problems to call 1-800-discover.

None! We do not answer.

We receive multiple calls from 866-290-4961 several times a day  VERY ANNOYING!

I answered the call they asked for my husband and when I said he was not her the woman asked when a better time was to reach him and when I said evening she hung up.  Not that I want to by anything they are selling but my name appears on the Discover card also but she obviously do not want to talk to me.  That is fine I know not to answer now!

I called today and told them to stop calling. How friggin irritating. I don't get calls from BoA or Amex like that. Why is Discover so much more persistent?

the call is from discover card trying to sell identy theft protection. if you call them back and press 'one' you'll get an operator who will apologize and take you off the list

Recieved this call twice yesterday--once at lunch and once in the evening.  They did not respond the first time but they did the second time and notified that they were affiliated with Discover.  The number just called again a few minutes ago (same lunchtime as yesterday) with no responses on the other end.  I'll take the advice of others on this thread and call Discover to see if I can be removed from their effin lists.  Jerks.
