Has anyone ever recieved a call from this number at all? If so, who and what is it?

Collection Agency for student loans

Receive a call from an unidentified number and they want all personal info. They threaten they are going to embargo my salary. They threaten they know lots of personal information and proceed to mention all my personal information through a telephone that is subject to monitoring at all times!!!!

Ive received numerous calls from GRC.  They told me for the last 6 months that they were going to garnish my paycheck (it has yet to happen). This was after they said they put me on some program and would send me the documents to sign (which never arrived) because I was not eligible for a deferment.

They insisted that I needed to give them my checking account information and when I told them I didn't have one, I was told by "Bev" that I was lying and she proceeded to rattle off the name of the bank. When I told her then if she had that information already, she'd know that it was closed under suspicious activity.  She proceeded to hang up and I haven't heard back.

Then today I received a call from "Matt" who left his name and phone number on my voice mail.  

They have called here and have threatened my son for refusing to give them other peope's phone numbers if I was out (including cell phone) and also demanded my work number when he answered.  They have also gotten very mouthy with my husband before on the phone when they'd call asking for "Lisa", not "Leslie".  

I know who my student loan was through and I have been dealing with them directly..... I will NOT deal with General Revenue Service.  Do not give them ANY information unless you want to bring on issues of identity theft, etc.!!!! I have been victim to this within the last year, and only after I started hearing from these people at GRS.  It is being investigated right now.

If you owe money on your student loan, call the loan holder and talk to them.  They WILL work with you!

Got a call from Steve St. Peters, no information left except a number 866-292-5084.  The call repeatedly, several times a day.  I'm not answering.

They are from student loan collector. And they give always a reference number to call back. They are collectors that's it. From Patricia.....GRC

They want your Social Security numbers over the phone. They car warrenty companies too i think.

they call me and said they will help me..??they don't want to said what company they are??

Called and said that Jessica had given permission to ask me questions to complete an application for her.  I checked with Jessica - she has no applications pending.

they called my neighbors, asking for me telling them they wanted to help me.
i dont even know my neighbors. they left my info on their vioce mail. social security name, etc. theres got be a law to stop that. they didnt say who they were just a name and referance number.

I keep receiving this message saying they are looking for a Dyron Green - the recording keeps say if this is NOT Dyron Green, please disregard the message.  I have been disregarding this message for some time.  I do NOT know who Dyron Green is.  Please stop calling my telephone number.  Thank you very much.

Calls from 317 806-8712 Caller ID shows "GRC" from Fishers, IN.  Asks for a name I never heard of to return call to Marty at 866-292-5084.

Rec vm from woman stating my husband needs to return her call and provided a reference no. The message failed to state what this was in regard to.  I returned the call to inquire as to the nature of the call and was informed they would not speak to me.  Our credit is excellent and all bills are paid!

It is student loan officers. Should be against the law for even them to keep calling back to back. If you dont have it you dont have it. Point blank

A man named Reggie called wanting to speak to my other half Jeff.  When informed that Jeff was a sleep and that I would not be waking him up so this guy could talk with him.  He then asked me about my cousin Lysta and asked if i would relay a message to her to contact 866-292-5084. but the number that came up on the caller ID was 513-605-7447.  I did forward the information to my cousin before i looked up their number.  I did call them and asked to speak to a supervisor to inform them to no longer call this number for we are not my cousins message service.  The manager then proceeded to tell me he was marking the number as a bad number and they would not be calling it ever again.  (but if they do they will not like me)

Got 2 messages from this number today. I googled and found this site and another similar regarding GENERAL REVENUE CORP., so when i called them back I was ready to fight hehe. I have no reason for any creditors to be calling me, so I was itchin' to find out what they had to say. Right off the bat they wanted to "verify my birth date" I told them no, she stated she will have to transfer me, I said "go ahead" then she stated the next person is just going to ask me to verify my birth date also. I said "whatever, transfer me" The next girl was Crystal, and on her behalf she was very polite. I told her right up front that I was not going to give her any personal information about myself or anyone else unless she tells me first, exactly why her company was calling me. She right away told me they were looking to find a person with my name, but with a different middle initial and different birth date. I told her they have the wrong guy and she told me she would put my number on the do not call list. Let's see if they call again. Just thought I'd share.  :)

A call received from this number was taken as a message.  When asked who was calling the Representative answered my name is Ami, when asked what company she responded "Internal Revenue", asked for a number 866 292 5084 was given but the caller ID shows 513 605 7447.

i was told it was aganist the law even if you had one because you should be able to pay off your loan etc. on your own terms and not be harrassed for more or in time where there are less means. I think all these companies should be investigated because I got a letter from the company that actually has my loan and because of lose/miss of communication which i think is b.s. i am now with this company though the other company says i must pay them i am not paying anyone because I am not stupid and this unfortunately is all just a sad mess because the punchline to it all and sorry its on a reply is that I paid this off already years ago.

just found out they put me through to another collection agency i am like put i already paid off this loan i am not giving anymore money and its like well mama thats not my problem you have to pay us and then deal with the place your loan was originally i am like no i don't because as far as i know you could be a scam.
