I truly believe this company is a scam. They want to solicit personal information out of you. They ask you to confirm info that they already have. Then they want to know if "you" are a candidate for a business opportunity or how much debt you have and how they can provide you with consolidation info. Headstartcareers.org is a joke, I have yet to speak with a real person on the phone for a so called interview. The message from 866 301 9816 prompts you to get back on the internet to answer the same questionaire by a lady named Jennifer. There is no way to leave a message nor contact Jennifer for her contact number is not provided.

I have received a job offer by email and I have provided personal information...I am reluctant to go any further...I did not find them listed with the USA BBB...I received an email from a person with a first and last name listed...I recieved a text message at 4:50 am from 866-301-9816 on 01/01/08...If this is a scam I want to know.

They're not a scam. They're a screening company calling people or asking them to fill out applications. Screening companies are used by recruiters to weed out applicants for a job so that the company actually doing the hiring only has to look at five people or so as opposed to the hundreds that may apply via the online job boards. They won't ask for private information like your social security number or bank accounts so there's no danger of ID theft. They will ask you a bunch of questions about getting information from schools or what not, but just listen/read carefully and answer appropriately. Your answers will not affect you candidacy for the job.

I had a text message on the cell I have given them. It said to call Jennifer at 1 866 301 98 16 and log in, which I wasn't able to do, or call her on her direct line or cell whch was not given.

I HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT THAT EVERYBODY ELSE IS HAVING. I GOT THIS MESSAGE ON MY CELL PHONE TO LOG BACK IN TO HEADSTARTCAREERS.ORG AND USE MY EMAIL ADDRESS AS A USER NAME AND LAST NAME FOR PASSWORD.  I REALLY THINK IT IS A SCAM.  I REMEMBER DOING SOMETHING ON THEM BUT IT WOULD LET ME DO ANYTHING UNLESS I PUT SOME INFO. ABOUT DEBT I OWE.  I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN.

I had that same text message but of course there is no # that we can contact Jennifer like the message states and I will not provide any other information with out knowing this company is a fake. I will report it to the bbb and see what they can do for all of us

I had the same thing happen. This company has a * by it.

this is crazy! i got "the" text last night at 2:30 am which should be the 1st red flag.  if so many of us are complaning then how can they continue to scam us?!?! and why do they ask who your cell phone provider is when your filling out applications?  red flag #2

I had the same thing happen and when I tried to send a reply to the email, it came back with "no user at this email address".  I did not give any pertenant information to them which kept causing the site to crash.  This lead me to think there was something fishy about the whole thing.

This company is a SCAM. HTey have called my house asking to consolidate my debt. When I ask the name of the company - they havng up. They hung up on me three times as I called back to get info. the fourht time, I started with - I ahve been hung up on 3 times and the guys says "well this is the fourth" without hearing anythgin I had to say. SCAM - Stay Away!!!!
