These people keep calling and they want tell me what they want just who. and i've told them all i know and they keep calling back i'm on a do not call list and they still call.

Called and then hung up when the answering machine clicked on. I have no idea who this is. I will be adding them to my Do Not Call Registry.

This # has  been calling and leaving messages for the person who USED to live here.  The strange thing is this is a NEW phone number that was never affiliated with that person.

I asked the caller today and said 'how did you tie this # to a person who moved out Feb 08 and that person NEVER had this #' and the caller said 'this person was in my office and used your # AND address on paperwork' (I asked it is my address)

So either the past resident knows my new # and his OLD address to falisfy documents or these are skip tracers, or I don't know...

It was strange, creepy, weird.

I tried to calling the # to see if I got an answer.  They answered with 'Northstar'.  I asked what they did there and he said 'lots of things' and again said 'he wrote that number down as his...'

I received a call from this number today on my cell phone.  I have no idea who it is or why and will not return the call as it would cost me.  This needs to stop.  Thank you.

Again today, 1-866-328-8252 and left a reference number of 8733309, but no one answered the phone.  The message that was left said the number was available EST until midnight.  This is about the 6th call over the past week.  Sometimes in the late evening.

For the 8th or 9th time now this number as been calling my cell phone, even today (Thanksgiving).  I am seriously tired and angry with these incessant calls.  I am a caregiver for an Alzheimer's patient and don't need any more interruptions or anxiety.  Help, please!

They called me about two months ago and needed to get a hold of my aunt about a legal matter. I had no idea who it was so I gave her the info and that was that. Today I got a call from I believe it was the same people about a legal matter with my dad. They both live in two completely different states. Something kinda fishy. north star Houston

I received a call on 11-Dec-08 re:  my son in Arizona.  As he previously had money problems, I was angry &  concerned.  Informed son who claimed ignorance.  Became concerned after reading other comments.

Received call from these guys @2:44 pm sat. Dec 13th looking for in-law, do not know if this has to do with some type of credit issue or how this company aquired my tel. number; North Star and Mr. Evans and a Mr. Chuck McCoy; very aggressive, would not tell me what call was in regards to.  From a google search there is a Northstar Collections/Search company from California, might be the same guys, don't give personal information.

I am getting calls on my personal cell plus my parents home. I do not know who they are affiliated with and after reading all of the posts I do not know what to think as to if I should call them or not? Are they an actual trustworthy collection company? or is it some kind of scam? Does anyone know? if so what companies do they work with as far as collections???

I am tired of these calls on my cell and alwas get them when I am at work. I do personal care.

These people called today and were very rude. I informed them that the person they were trying to contact does not live here and not to call again. Thirty minutes later he calls back again. Now I have reported them to the FTC since they are in violation of collection practices

They called and asked for ex wife, claimed she gave them my number as a call back number on some kind of paperwork but would not say what?.. I doubt that info is correct.. I asked what services they provided and was told "all kinds".. just another crooked collection service it seems.

They are a collection agency North Star - they are calling me about my ex husband whom I divorced 15 years ago.  The agent was very rude to me on the phone and I am going to file an FTC complaint.

called 1/9 at 10:56 AM -  866-328-8252 - as instructed by my attorney asked for who was calling and why - but # refused to give it and said she would call back.  I need that info to give to my lawyer to sue them.  Anyone know who it is?    I want a phone where I can put in these numbers and completely block them after they have called just once.   is there such a thing?

Left number 866-328-8252 x 906, no information except for a name - John Marr (fictitious?). Did not indicate who he was calling for or what the nature of the business was. I am reporting him and the number to the State of Texas and The Federal Trade Commission with a recording of the message (legal in this and most other states).

I assume that this was a wrong number, but the guy was pushy sounding, unpleasant, demanding a response - it's my damn telephone and answering machine. My guess is this guy doesn't get many call-backs...

These phonies have been calling my cell phone daily and asking for a generic-sounding (and likely bogus) woman's name. Sometimes, it's a man with a distinctive New York accent. Othertimes it's an automated voicemail that indicates a 'private' message for the intended. Best advice is to mark their number as "SCAM" in your contact list, let your voicemail pick up each time, and wait until they go away.

Received a call from a "Robert Shapiro" (attorney from OJ Simpson case? - right...). Wrong number, but I thought the fake name was worth posting somewhere.

They are a collection company. They some how got my Mom's phone number and called her and told her we needed to call them immediately. It was in reference to a credit card we owed.
