keeps calling

This place left a message with my mom.  I called 4 times and stayed waiting for someone to pick up 15 minutes each time.  I have no clue who or what they are.

I GOT THE SAME CALLS!  I CAN'T GET THROUGH TO FIND OUT WHO IT IS EITHER!  FRUSTRATING!  HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL KNOW WHO THE HECK THIS IS!  THE # I GOT ON CALLER ID IS 1-866-329-3750

Call about over due payment of 32.99 to BMG I told them I did not have and account with them since 1990. told me to pay the bill and he will send me a receipt and I can call BMG and get the problem fix I asked him to send me a copy of the invoice or anyother letter they have sent me he told me he could not do that. I told him he could put what even on my credit report I will got to the Attorny General office about the Collection Fair Act he had no clue what I was talking about.

called and left message on brand new cell phone that absolutely no one had the number of. Don't have a clue who Tacard Group is. Person ID self as Preston Watson. Believe it is a scam.

This is a scam company. I have read about 5 different people who have the same reference number (TC5042). How can that be on many individual's files?

Calls frequently. A Indian guys, or a caucasian guy says he's from the Tancard group. I say who the hell is the Tancard Group? It is definitely a scam. This is someone that wants personal info like address and credit card info. Don't fall in the loop.

Called my sister's cell asking for me. She called and they gave her the ID number TC5041. A guy with a thick Indian (India) accent. Said it was a very important matter and that I needed to call them back.

just got a call - said i had to call back by 502pm.. yeah 502pm... with tc5042 which looks like everyones reference number:  also - i'm on hold right now and have been holding for 20 minutes...

Ha. yeah b, the message they left for me the other day was the same-must call by 5:02pm EST but the were calling at 5:25pm EST as it was. Pretty funny. Funny that they haven;t called back nor sent the required notification by mail about an al;leged file-which would be bogus. Then again, that would be mail fraud. Make sure you post their BS story.

I have never had any outstanding credit, so there is no reason to be getting a call from a "collection" company. These scams prey on people's fear and curiosty-don't be fooled! Report the number to the Federal Trade Comission.
I've received several prerecorded calls from someone claiming to be Preston Watson from the Takar Group. The Takar group may be an actual  credit collection company in Canada, but these scammers are getting creative and posing as creditors, hoping to get information by intimidation or cryptic messages.

Have had these calls from Takar Group ( Preston Watson) come to me too. The same reference number as others have reported. Scams.  Rule of thumb...if you get an "out of area" or "unavailable" number, DON'T answer it, and most certainly, DON'T call them back. I'm really surprised that so many people  would fall for their directions to call them back, including those that have kept trying to get through to them by calling back and even worse, those who wait on hold for 20 minutes! I would bet there are people who have complied with their instructions and have been victims of fraudulent activityas a result. Avoid the curiosity and ignore these calls that can result in identity theft and credit card fraud.
These people are telephone scammers, attempting to frighten people in to calling them and revealing their credit card or social security numbers, other phone numbers, basically any personal identification.

Not calling back would be an option... if they didn't call incessantly & leave daily messages. i did get thru. spanish guy said the messages were in error. he apologized & said he'd remove it from their files. but the messages continue daily. only after reading all your responses i see many of us have the same reference #.

I haven't called back and have no intention to but like I posted, I still have not recieved anything in writing either which I won;t since I have no delinquent debt and never dealt with BMG.

I have never dealt with BMG either, so I know there is no legitimate reason to be calling me-twice so far. (Verizon cell phone, and only family, friends have it) Never have had any outstanding or even a late payment for anything my entire life. These calls don't frighten  me personally because of those reasons, but also, if I did happen to have some outstanding debt, I would have recieved something via U.S. mail informing me. I just let the calls go to voicemail, and keep track of them in case I need to contact the FTC or FCC. Legitimate collection companies would not leave a pre-recorded message on a phone message, especially when my cell phone's personal recorded voicemail message states my first name, which is obviously NOT someone on thier "legitimate" call list!

Perhaps it's time that everyone's  local law enforcement be told? They could alert the media to this unsophisticated scam and get the word out, and maybe even track thier loser butts down and nail them....

Finally called again just now at 5:49pm stating I must call before 5:02pm. Losers.

We are getting similar calls from "Preston Watson" demanding a callback and referencing some "file" that needs to be discussed with the same reference code (TC9041) you're mentioned.  We're not responding.

Hubby kept getting blocked calls. Same voice messages as everyone else has been talking about. "Preston Watson, must call before 5:02 PM w/ same reference #". I concluded it was a scam. We haven't answered or tried to call back. Calls have dropped from 4 daily to once a week. Maybe they'll eventually stop.

Interesting develpment as they actually called FROM this number but didn't leave a message. And since they called at 12:25pm, that certainly would have given me enough time to call by "5:02pm EST". Ha Ha. Losers.
