Just got calls from this number 3 times tonight! I called the number back and went to an automated operator asking information about my Wachovia credit card...I started to enter info but stopped because this thing stunk of scam! I've never paid a bill late or went over the limit, so Wachovia would have no reason to call me.

I have been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number for several weeks now - several times a day. I never answer because I did not recognize the number. I work for Wachovia and have heard nothing about an automated call to enter credit card information. I am going to check with someone in our fraud department.

Got two messages from this number claiming that I hadn't activated my new Wachovia check card.  I called the number on the back of my Wachovia card to verify this and they said that Wachovia never makes calls like this and that this was a phishing scam.  I reported the number to them and still ending up getting another message today from this number. Please be careful and do not call back.
