A very foreign-sounding woman called wanting my credit card expiration date and the security code.  I did place an on-line order with Office Depot, but something feels fishy....

Same thing with me.  
Placed an order yesterday (22 May 2012) and the caller, with a thick foreign accent, asked to verify my security code and expiration date.  
I asked to call him back and checked the status on my order with the Office Depot phone number, no problems noted.  
Next, I'm calling my card company to be on the lookout for any fraudulent activity.

Got a call this evening from a man claiming to be from Home Depot & that an order I placed with Home Depot was on hold  be cause my Discover card seemed to be invalid.  He asked me for my full card  number which I refused to give to him.  His number was 866-345-3l39.   Was hard to understand him because of a heavy accent.  This was a red flag!! SCAM, SCAM!!

Got the same call from a Kathy saying my order (never placed) was denied , credit card was no good. Thanks for the info.

Just placed an online order with Office Depot and someone with heavy accent called saying transaction could not go through because expiration was incorrect on my credit card.  She tried to get full credit card number and I told her that I would correct it online.  She gave me a call back number 866-345-3139.  I verified that my expiration date was correct.  When I googled this telephone number several complaints  popped up where this same thing has happened before.  Most of the orders were with Office Depot but one was Home Depot.  Must be a scam!

They said they put a hold on my shipping as credit card did not pay for shipping ?  SCAM !!!

Today, Nov. 15 2016 I placed an order thru Office Depot.  About 1.5 hours later got a over seas call... very odd wanted information as well.  Did not feel comfortable giving out.  Researched the numbers given and they lead to this site and other complaints. Got an email from Office Depot after placing an order saying to call this phone number. The email had all the correct info, order info, the amount paid through paypal, my order number, everything correct. Even the tracking number, and sure enough Paypal did say there was a problem with Office Depot. But I only now realize that the message is written in slightly awkward English. And why would a tech person demand my card info for a Paypal purchase? I didn't give it out.

But how did they know all this info? Is the Office Depot site compromised? I'm definitely going to report this.

I called the number and was told that they are an off-shore credit card authorization department for Office Depot located in India.  I told the guy that I had already verified my order status and updated my credit card security code with a rep at the official number for Office Depot because of all the negative comments I read on line about this number.  It seems to be legit, but I didn't want to take any chances.

I received a voice mail message from either Gloria or Monica... hard to tell from the thick accent... saying there was a problem with my credit card payment for my Office Depot order #911667511.  Funny thing is I did NOT place an order with Office Depot, so it is a SCAM, SCAM SCAM!  She said to call the above number and ask for extension 1.   I checked the Office Depot website and plugged in the order number; it said it was an invalid order number.  I deleted the voice mail message.

I got a cell phone call from this number which I did not recognize, so did not answer.  I had placed an order with Office Depot, which I had already received with Net 30 terms.

Received a voice mail message from an east Asian,  I'm guessing Indian or Pakistani, saying my order at Office Depot was on hold due to my credit card being declined...fat chance of that...I don't use credit cards and I never placed an order.  Big time scammer!!!  Hope somebody catches them.

Very Pakistani or Indian woman told me that my last order from Home Depot was rejected by my bank.  I have not shopped there for years.

Received a call from the number. Woman with an accent stated that my bank denied my Office Depot order. I NEVER placed an order. She kept trying to get my name and my CC #

I just got a VM on my cell phone from this number.  Same thing, "your order has been placed on hold from Office Depot and they are very sorry but need a new credit card".  Guess what.......  My credit card information somehow was stolen last night and someone was trying to make purchases.  Thank you Chase bank for notifying me!  I did not place an order and the purchase was declined.  Now a day later this foreign woman is calling me and needing information.  Scam.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I'm going to report this to Office Depot.

On March 22 someone used my CC info to place an online or mail order for $638 at Office Max/Office Depot. My card was cancelled within minutes of the fraud. Today I received a call from this number about my CC. Def SCAMMERS!!

Got a call from a woman who sounded as if she were from India saying I had placed an order with Office Depot (which I had not) and my credit card info was denied. Wanted credit card info. Ha! SCAM call

This is a legitimate call from Office Depot regarding a recent order. In my case they were calling to tell me that my bank declined the transaction. It's neither here nor there that it was their fault it was declined, just wanted to point out that this is a legitimate call and not a scam

Got a phone call from 866-345-3139 asking for Mark (no Mark here) to fix an Office Depot credit card order that had been rejected.  I looked up the number and it brought me here.
