Wanted me to call #1-866-348-6585 and they claimed to be a collection agency and that the call was an attemp to collect a debt.

I keep getting calls from  this # telling me to call 888-579-0626 for an important msg. I call back and they are looking for my DEAD  relative who was never at this # to begin with. They couldn't give me any definitetype of info but said my relative has been listed by someone in Fla and wouldn't tell me any more. I guess I should have just given them the cemetary #  and address to contact them there. I am sick of receiving these calls and I am on the do not call list .

They call three times a day for weeks.  Finally spoke to them in person and this is what they claimed...  
The caller claimed to have been given our number as a reference # for a Jordan...
Never heard of this person.
Person did not identify a company.

We know no one there

appears to be a scam - cited it is personal matter...
Alert; likely alias being used
as such rcmp, and csis should be potentially notified of alleged criminal operatiion

Claimed to collections agency yet the debt was included in a bancruptcy claim 8 years ago. Had the wrong address and wanted me send personal information to him. Everytime I tried to speak he spoke over me with :mam" Mam mam. I hung up and blocked the number.

National Credit Recovery

They are not a "collections agency" working recovering on behalf of any one. (see number 5 below) - they buy statutorily expired debts and try to collect

Ontario's Statute of Limitations states claims must be filed with the courts within two years, not nine years.

Block the numbers I have listed at the bottom of this message - they use more than one number

TIPS to ANGRY PPL
1- Never Acknowledge any type of debt with these ppl
2- Even if they offer a "DEAL" to fix your problem,
  as soon as you pay something you are agreeing
  that you owe them money and they could
  prosecute you.
3-Send Back any MAIL from them... dont even open it
4- Do not call them... do not contact them, I
  know its frustrating. But thats the only chance.
5- THey buy old unrecoverable debts from big
  companies and try to get you. So they are not a
  "collections agency" working recovering on behalf
  of no one.

  IE. they buy a DEBT from LEON FURNITURE of
  $5k for $1k then come after you for a "deal"
  pay $3k and you will be free of debt. They make
  2K thats the mechanics of their "income" they
  cannot take you to court if you do what I said
  in #1 and #2. simple as that.

Transcript of message they have been leaving for at least the past two years with the name of the person changing as people quit.  Note - they have not teeth.
