    Probable Scam!
Block and see if a letter comes in the mail. That way an attorney can really contact them.

We opened a new cell phone account in early February.  Since that time we have received almost daily calls asking for a "Vicki".  We have informed them on numerous occasions that there is nobody by that name at this "NEW" number.  Today, they gave information that they were from Cambridge, Hoxley & Assoc.  We advised them that they were not to call again or we would be contacting the office of the Nebraska Attorney General.  The male caller said, "Well, why didn't you just say this was the wrong number?".  We have no way of knowing if  these are multiple callers or all from the same number.

These people have called me twice now trying to get a message to a friend, somebody I'm not even related to, have never shared a phone number with -- this is nuts! I told them to get my information out of my system and that my friend and I were reporting them to the police for scamming.

    Facts
I did the research on this company....this company is a collection firm it says so in the company website. As being a former collector now in customer service at geico I do agree with everyone of you guys that the b.s. tactics are a way to scare you but make no question about if they are a firm or if its an attorney office they can Sue you....the odds of them doing is totally on the discretion of the collector and the owner...obviously if your on welfare and your slangin your foodstamps with your 150 Jordan sneakers then yea if they sued you it would be because they didn't like you. BUT MAKE NO QUESTION THEY CAN SUE YOU...AND UNLESS YOU LIVE IN TEXAS OR FLORIDA YOU CAN HAVE WAGE GARNISHMENTS. IF YOU DONT BELIEve me look it up in the FDCPA.so at the same time you debtors are trying to get over on a [***] collector when you do come across an actual professional collector you will try your tactics to not pay your bill and act like an immature adult I'm sure he will recommend that there is a lawsuit against you. Dont take my word for it and when your in the courtroom and you dont have anyoptions. Like a payment arrangements or settlement your gonna be on the courtroom begging for a break because. You will have no excuse on why you didn't pay the bill.Regardless if you dont like the collector simply request for somebody else....you owe the debt...so pay up.like when I was a collector I always said your 100 dollar payment is better than nothing ...so there are your facts...and I'm sure some of you are gonna say yea whatever this is b.s. or go send me it in writing to do a stall tactic but if you pay your debt you will improve your credit score and and feel a sense of accomplishment ..I mean how many of your friends pay there debts? My credit score was479 with paying four measely debts my score is 659 I get credit cards all the time in the mail with 10,000 credit limit..I throw them away but if I ever needed it I could...it was not hard to purchase my home n car no hassles. Because my crest score was good.Your credit score is all that matters nowadays ...so make the change

Why would you encourage your child no to pay their debt..how are you gonna teach them responsibility if your making them think its OK you dont have to pay because its a collector ...back in my day I would have sent it to you first class n made it certified mail where you have to sign it so when you didn't pay it I would use that in court ...now I know why some of these kids can't be trusted with money...its because of parents like you
