This call is from Credit Control, LLC.... a debt collector.

Caller leaves number and ask that I press 3 for more information....press 3 and nothing happens.

Recorder message ask for me to press 3 for more information and then when I do, nothing happens.  Recorded message does ask if this is the right person press 3, but no name is given.

This is from a debt collection company, Credit Control LLC.  They ask for someone by name that I don't know.

If you are receiving autodialer calls to your residential phone, the first thing you need to do is to let them know that you do not consent to these calls and demand that they cease communications with you.  

After you have done that, you may be able to pursue them for violations of the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).  This is the same statute that is used to sue junk fax companies.  The statutory damage award is $500 for each call and $1,500 per call if they have violated the statute wilfully.

Also, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) requires that they honor written requests like this, and stop almost all communications.  If you send a letter like this, you should do so by certified mail, return receipt request, and keep a copy of the letter together with the return receipt.  I have posted sample letters on my web site’s law library.  http://www.sue4abuse.com/library.html

Your best option may be to have an attorney help get their attention or pursue claims under the either the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) or the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
