wow, so i'm not alone, huh?  

as a rule, i don't answer unfamiliar numbers (my cell minutes are precious!).  this one has tried three times, no messages.  now i'm glad i didn't let curiosity get the best of me.

...though i am tempted to answer and play along (with fake info), just to see how far it goes.  :P

like hilary said i too don't answer unfamiliar numbers but they had called me 3 times in the past 6 days without leaving any voicemails so i am glad i looked the number up. but as hilary said it would be pretty fun to play along with them haha

These guys call representing Jason D. Hass Law offices whose practice is all about "debt relief".  They go by other names like United Attorney Services, but there are others.  They use these telemarketers to get qualified leads, so if you ask too many questions, they hang up on you so they don't get complaints.

Since they are evasive about giving a name, I have time, so I just roll with their story and act like an interested party.  I keep this up until I get to someone who is ready to deal, so they HAVE to give company info.  When I find them on the internet as a "real" name (versus the generic Debt Management type name), I let them know that I have no debt, that I'm on the National No-Call List, I will be reporting them, and remove my name from their list.

This really ticks them off because it burns a LOT of their time and effort.  They usually make a nasty remark about no wasting their time.  To that, I just let them know if they weren't so evasive about their company name, we could take care of it early.  Then I just laugh.

This number call me saying I had CC and Medical bills to pay.
I asked who was calling and he said national debt (and something else)
very bad english. They were Phishing for info, I looked up the 866 number and it has a local number to report trouble as 514-868-7588 which is Montreal Canada, probably some small call center.  If you are on the DNC list report them !

They initially gave me 2 names: National Debt Solutions and Debt Relief Center (these seem to be the generic names they give just to keep you from busting them from the start).  Then they transferred me to another person who said they were Finance Box (stupid name). Then I was transferred to someone who said they were with Allied Debt Solutions.  In trying to find the actual company, I found their number 954-571-8103.  However, when I called this number, they said they were Federated Financial.  When asked if they were Allied, they said they were associated with them.  I thought it was illegal to falsely represent the name of your company when you call.

You do have to hang with them and tell them what they want to hear to find out the actual company name.  And it is pretty fun when you finally tell them you are on the no-call list and to never call you again.  It really ticks them off.

These guys are totally corrupt.  I got to the actual company, and asked the guy if it was a telemarketer.  He admitted that it was an Indian company, so I told him how they had sold me to about half a dozen other companies too.  That he was getting "used goods" by having to pay for something they sold to many other companies.  As he started to get pissed at the company, they pulled me back and yelled something at me in Indian, then hung up on me.

They don't like it when you screw with their customers.

Over the past few months a company with no name using the phone # 866-391-5776 has been making “fishing” phone calls, selling everything from debt consolidation to timeshares. Here is the scary part they have your cell phone #, your name, and your home address, and who knows what else.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION AS THIS IS A FRAUDULANT BUSINESS!!

Go ahead and google the phone # see the incredible amount of people they have been harassing.

They just called my 5-year old granddaughter. She has a phone that her mom plans to send with her when she spends the night with a friend. They even asked for her by name. She just got the phone yesterday.

I keep getting in coming calls from this number during peak hours.  I have no idea who this caller is, however, I wish they would lose my number.

I keep receiving calls from the same number. I think i picked it up once and said they had the wrong # when they asked for a Mike B. Probably last phone owner gave# away. (Cell Phone) Haven't picked it up since so now they keep leaving me messages.

Calling me every hour and I would like it to stop, I am not interested in your buisness.  If this continus I am going to take further action.

Yep, these rats called yesterday, and I have been having phone line trouble and could barely here them. When I repeatedly asked who was calling this [***] started cussing me...so, I reciprocated with a flurry of personal insults that would make a gutter tramp blush... This guy was steaming!!!I think I finally got under their skin!!!!HA HA!!! Call back please....make my day!!!

A man called my cell phone with a verry thick accent telling me he is from the credit place. i was half asleep half awake cose the phone call woke me up, He was telling me looking at my credit looked like i was needing a loan. I ask them who are you and why are you calling my phone he said he was from the  credit I told him this is not legal! He hung up on me!! Tried to return his call let him know wjat i thought of him calling my phone and all I got was a busy signal.

I am sick and tired of these folk calling. I hope there is something we as Americans can do to get this sh-t to stop!!

I just started recieving calls from this number 1-866-391-5776 about a week ago. I didn't know who it was so I did not answer it. Well who ever it was keeps calling me constantly. I finally got annoyed enough to pick the phone and see who it was. Whoever it was it was a women with a slight accent, and she said she was from the National Credit Bureau. I couldn't understany eveything she was saying, I think maybe becuase her accent. She said something about me having unsecured debt, something just didn't feel right, so I just hung up the phone. Well they called me back an hour later. I became really worried something might be wrong with my credit, well I googled the number and I found this website: whocallsme.com. So I guess it is a scam so be careful.

They called my cell phone. When I picked up, they took few seconds and asked if I was Elena. I said yes. The guy said that I had unsecured debts. I said that I wasnt sure that he was talking about. He hang up.

This company is called "National Debt Center". I told the individual who called that they are in violation of the DO NOT CALL list and that I was reporting them and then I hung up on him.
