I recieved a call from this # at my work place and they were rude and beligerent and basically said I was a liar. I told them to sto calling it could get me in trouble and hung up. They Called right back!!!!

Ha. They called my privatephone.com phone #. They'll be out of luck in a few days cuz PP is going out of business. No caller ID on them. I just googled the ph # & got here.

God, they've called my phone so many times! AND they leave voicemails!

They are a collections company for payday loans.  If they call you you may have an past due payday loan.

Ad Astra Recovery Services, Inc. was fully paid in back in August of 2008.  Yet, today, November 20, 2008, they called today to DOUBLE-COLLECT!  I have the District Attorney's Office after them.

This is a company I have never heard of and all things that could be considered a possible source of debt are in order and have been in order since the beginning so this is a hither to unknown and unacceptable disturbance from this debt collecting agency. I am receiving multiple calls regarding an account I have never created, nor incurred.

i keep getting calls from this number and they do not leave messages or talk when you pick up the phone.  they call about 15 times a day and night.  i do not want anymore calls from this number.

Looks like you're a victim of identity theft.

You also have to be carefull about these "collection agency" calls & not just assume that they are who they say they are. Ask for THEIR phone number; address; website and verify that it's fully legit (IF you plan on paying it off) because the person you're talking to MIGHT NOT be from the debt collector. They might be someone attempting to steal your information (banking/SS# etc). If they're legit they'll have a mailing address (an actual physical location that can be verified).

Also - if they're calling you at work: thats illegal. Get their address & phone number; tell them they're calling you at work (record it); send them a cease and desist letter telling them to stop calling you at work - get delivery confirmation. Once you have delivery confirmation - if they call again, you can sue (but you also have to give them some other means to contact you - you can't just cut them off). Give them an e-mail address; let the spam filter catch it - pay when you can.

I have talked with this company many times and explained my financial state at time, lost of job but the company just keeping calling 4 and 5 times a day.

First they ask for a person that works at our company,Then I asked him to stop calling because I have gave this person there number 5 times already.They clled back saying there with a law firm,then the police dept. Still do not know what these people are trying to accomplish.

I just got a call from this number as well! The woman's name was Natalie and she was so rude! She wouldn't tell me who she was or what the company was and told me she would keep trying back until I was more cooperative! I didn't even know what the phone call was about and she wouldn't tell me anything unless I gave her my personal information which I absolutely won't do!

I need them to stop calling my job. I will report them to the police department if they don't stop calling

Just got called from 1-866-398-2089.  Not once but 3 times all within an hour.
I do not usually answer any calls from numbers I do not know.
Glad I checked here firs.
One other issue is, I have no debt, so if this is a debt collector, it is an identity theif more.

Please sign up for do not disturb.  It does not make all of them go away, but it will help.  Also, you have to do it once a year to keep your number refreshed and in the que.

I get a call from them number at least twice a hour, i am so tired of them calling me, wish they would stop, when I do answer the phone they falsify their names, Adam, Jason, John you have a accent that lets me know that is not their real name, and then state they are a detective in the police department and telling me that the police is on the way to my house.  Never told me what for for who I supposedly owe.
