Gave me a claim number and asked me to call back

There calling about claim number.  Hung up on then

Called, left msg with a claim number to call back. I called back. They said I took out a payday loan in December of 2012 for $300. Said I could settle for $480. If not, would take me to court to owe them $2,480. I do not have this debt. Anyone with a similar experience?

I'm fighting with them now.  Go to attorney generals office of your state file a claim and also with the fraud with fBI.   It's a total scam!'nn

I just got the same exact call with the same exact allegations! Thank God for google I considered paying them for 2 seconds.

SCAM: They said I took out a payday loan in March of 2012 for $300. Said I could settle for $480. If not, would take me to court and sue me for $2,480 and that this is a legal matter. They refused to provide any contract information and had a terrible attitude. I've never taken out a pay day loan.

The person who keeps calling me is Samantha Brown. She is rude, won't let you talk and expects you to pay up or threatens $2K court fees added on to the $400 she says I owe from a payday loan. I have asked to speak with her supervisor, but tells me she is the only one there - this number is a private residence. Two of my family members also have the name Lynn and she is calling them as well.

Same thing. Called me and I picked up because I've been getting a lot of weird numbers that I previously had been screening. A recording said they were working on claim number whatever and to hold to speak with someone. I hung up. When they don't identify themselves you know it's a scam.

I received a call from them saying i oee them said I took a payday loan out with them in 2012 never had a payday loan not only that but never had a metbank card said they would take me to court....  I will not except that [***].

I received a call from them also its crazy they told me took out a loan in 2012 thats a lie never had a payday loan only a personal loan and am still paying on it and is on time paying it too..

Got this call, says it was intended for my brother. Researched the phone number, and it's tied to a loan service. He's never taken out any loans.

Called my parents home with the message that I should call with the claim number they left.  Hung Up

They were ostensibly calling for some poor sap called Eugene Coleman, gave a claim number and all. And a different number to call them back on -- 866 689 4426. Their files must be sadly messed up if they are genuinely associating that name with a number I've had for two decades.

Urk. I was trying to type "Didn't disclose" but posted instead.

This company is a scam. Do not give them any information and report them to the FBI immediately. They are already investigating. Stark Recovery claims to be calling to settle a debt of yours or (in my case), to reach a relative about a "legal matter." They provide a claim number for you to reference when you call back, but they are vague on details. They could not tell me how they got my number and hung up on me when I called back asking more questions about them. The person speaking was reluctant to state her name or even where the company is located (I actually had to repeat that question 2-3 times before she quickly said California and moved on.

Same thing.  Claim number.  Asked if I can have proof, they say they are the legal department and have verified the information.  I say I want to verify and they have nothing but an authorization form for me to fill out to get money from me.  2012, 300, will settle for 400, otherwise over 2K, threatened to come to my home or place of work.  I do not have this debt.  They called my son's phone number too - no idea how they got that.

This company or whatever it suppose to be keep calling my number when i answered i got hung up on and when i called back no answer machine saying it dont say companys name it say a temp to collect money.scam scam holiday scams dont give none of your info.

Same experience as others.  Unnerving, because they knew my social security number and the bank that I use.  They called me back two days later from 866-397-2402.  Never took out a payday loan from Tior Capital LLC.
