Full screen with loud noise saying to call this # immediately (Microsoft) that I was being infected by trojan horse worm and could get my credit card. I did not call this# looked up Microsoft and called that # technical support, left message as instructed.

My mother's pc got infected, and this number was included as Microsoft's support number. When she called, the person who answered immediately asked for her credit card info, and had remote access to her pc. Watch where you click, people!

Alleged Certified Microsoft technician that asks permission to to use log entries to  control of your computer.  Then he goes through the spiel to sell you *licensed* aniti-malware  tool for $141 for two years.

Same as above, Loud noise, said my computer was infected by trojan.  I called the number and knew immediately, when East Indian woman answered.  Told her I wanted to talk to Jim, a friend of mine who was head of Microsoft Security.  She said he was busy and I told her I had his personal number and would call him in a few minutes.  She hung up on me!

Scam!  Not Microsoft.

How did you get rid of theload noise?

I almost fell for it. My son who was nearby told me it was a scam.
