It is the VISA fraud detection service calling to verify recent charges to credit card. Bank verified service and phone number.

Apparently it was from VISA Fraud Protection Services.  They asked about a charge that I had made and I verified it.  They did request some SSN info which I refused to give, but I was able to verify the charge anyway.

I called Visa on the back of my card AND my bank.  BOTH indicate, they have NOT called me!  Visa said this is a scam & to report it to the Police for further action.  DON'T give them ANY information!!!

With all due respect to Missy, this IS Visa Fraud.  This was an automatic "computer" type call verifying exact purchases (amts, dates, etc...  I have had the call before but it had been a while.  Since I had made several purchases in the last few days I guess it pretty normal considering that is NOT my normal spending behavior.  All is fine.  No need to worry. =)

I just had a call from this same number.  I called my credit union, it is in fact their fraud prevention service (which is a separate entity from our credit union).  So this is a legitimate organization.  They have in the past flagged several actual fraud attempts.  So they are doing their job at protecting us!!

This is indeed Visa Fraud Protection Services! After reading some of these responses, I had a very sleepless, worry filled night.  I called my credit union first thing this morning and they verified the two calls that I had received.  They told me that one of the things the fraud department looks for is purchases made in the same store, minutes apart, which is exactly what I had done.
After verifying the caller, I have now saved the number and will always know who is calling from this number and why.
