Report a phone call from 866-431-5121 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- NinaReceived call from this number. I answered, and there was no response on their end. No message left on answering machine.
- TomI get a call from this number at least once a day. What happened to the do not call list?
- Am Heart Ass. gives me indigestionI do not have caller ID, so I have to pay 75 cents to pay for the silly *69 option to find out who has called when a hang up occurs. So, today I get the 866-431-5121 number, and find out it's not available through reverse phone look-up, unless of course I want to pay $14.95! Oh palleasee. I'm glad to know it is the American Heart Association. I already do not like the way they raise money, and this is really irritating. I am a nurse and have many family members with heart trouble, that does not make me all warm and fuzzy when they solicit you to send guilty envelopes to neighbors and family, frequent phone calls, and junk mail.
BTW, I hate caller ID but may have to succumb to it eventually. It annoys me that people pick up the phone, and actually think, well, do I want to talk to Joe now? Call me old fashioned but....and then my mom, who has caller ID gets 'so MAD' that she has to pick up the ringer to read the caller ID to find out it was a telemarketer, that she doesn't want to talk to...Seems like that's a no-brainer and not something to stress your heart about....ah, but she had to get up to check, even if she wasn't going to answer..oh dear. Relax...deep breath...
ps: I'm also on the Do Not Call list...so much for that.. - SallyI am registered on the Federal do not call list, but I still get these calls. The caller identified herself as calling from the American Red Cross, which I do respect, but she wanted me to receive envelopes and go to my neighbors and collect money from them. I responded that I work all day don't have the time and I already did it for the March of Dimes. She said she repected my time, but still needed the help from me. I hung up. Don't need this crap.
- JackI received about 20 calls from this number over a two week period on my caller ID box. I finally was home -- on a Sunday -- and took the call from this number.
In a very stern and assertive voice I asked the caller "who are you and why are you calling." When he mentioned donations, I immediately asked to be put on his organization's Do-Not-Call list. I then said (and this is important) "I need you to confirm that I have been placed on this list. Will you confirm that now?"
He said that not only would he confirm, he would mail me a copy of their Do-Not-Call Policy! He even had my mailing address which he confirmed.
I received the letter in the mail, and it was NOT from the American Heart Association! It was from a call center company the AHA hired! The letter included their complete Do-Not-Call Policy and a copy of an employee agreement they make every caller sign.
Here is the best part:
The letter starts with "Thank you for making me aware of your request to have you name and telephone number deleted from the calling list for our client..." Here are my thoughts when reading this: "Thank you for wasting my time and harassing me, you scumbag..."
Here is the details of the call center company and the person who authored the letter.

Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs
I suspect that many of the constant barrage of spam phone calls from non-profits that all of must endure are actually coming from InfoCision. Check their website. You see they provide many types of funrasing activities. All at our expense, of course. I wonder how Mr. Brubaker would feel if thousands of people were to start calling him day and night for weeks on end.- Caller: InfoCision
- JimJust got this call, You need to report it to the Do Not Call site. I do for ALL calls like this.
- Lon HighCalls at lest once a day with no message.
- M. Garciathey have called more than once. Stop calling us.
- HowieSaw on my caller ID that they called while I was out. No message left on answering machine!

- C. ThompsonSeveral times last week this company called with no answer, just silence and a disconnect. But I did hear talking and laughing in the background, so I figured it was kids messing around. Tonight I got another call, answered it, and when the guy started his spiel about the AHA, I cut him off saying "I don't accept solicitations by phone" then hung up.
- WaltYep, same with me.
I keep getting call after call, day after day, from this number. However, every time I answer it, they hang up a second or two later. No verbal response to my "Hello? Hello? HELLO?".
Each time, a hang up.
Sorry, but IMHO, if they hang up, it is an ANNOYANCE call, and not a charity call (which the latter are except from the DoNotCall law). - Upset telephone customerThis number is from the American Heart Association. They try to get you to send out 20-30 envelopes for donations, and they don't take no for an answer!
- Caller: American Heart Association
- James1-866-431-5121 I've received many calls - sometimes as many as 5 times per day over the last 2 weeks. I've had all of the same kinds of call experiences that others have posted about and actually only spoke to one caller personally and made my feelings clear, for what little that's likely worth.
As posted here before, these calls are absolutely coming from InfoCision Management Corporation, based out of Akron, OH. A person at the national AHA confirmed this.
I called my _local_ AHA (the number for yours can be found on the AHA org site) and complained pleasantly, but 'firmly', asking the local powers-that-be to contact the national AHA and tell them about the public relations damage and public anger that these calls are causing. This may be a more efficient means to stopping these calls. ???
I admit that I also called InfoCision and, upon getting an answer, gave the initially confused/dumbfounded person my best AHA sales pitch. (It's quite "amusing" how 'they' don't like getting the exact type of call that 'their' own company makes.) Also called every InfoCision PR person's number (found on their site) and did the same, or left an extensive pitch on their voice mail.- Caller: (AHA) InfoCision Management Corp.

- RossI never worry anymore about these calls as I purchased a neat little caller ID Box and Call Dump , you can program it to NOT allow ANY toll free Numbers 888, 800, 877, 866 etc etc. and it shoots them right to VM or to a non exsistant ext. ypur phone never rings, you can also dump ANY other number that bothers you best $99.00 I ever spent. DO NOT CALL registries have too many loop holes and do not work
Check it out!, No I do not work for them !

I filed a complaint to www.donotcall.gov/complaintcheck.aspx
Maybe if more file to the gov't do not call site, the gov't will get after these idiots.- Caller: ?
- PaulieRecieved call this a.m. at 8:15. Let it ring twice then picked up call. No answer. I got rid of caller ID because I got tired of paying for it. I now just don't answer the phone. Everyone that has business with me will leave a message. Family and friends know to start talking and I will pick up. If I want to know who called, I *69. I figure that is cheaper than paying $5.99 per month plus tax on my phone bill. Since this was so early I *69 it then came here.
- SKI got a call from this number on my cell phone today. I did not pick up.
- DMDPER12/07/07 received call from this number without a caller id - showed toll free call. Started conversation with punch line "this is not a solicitation call" from the American Heart Association. Immediately halted any futher conversations as we were heading out door to attend funeral services for a relative.

- ElaineI am an InfoCision Employee.
Lets clear up some ignorance.
1. We don't leave a message because there is no call back number.
2. This is computerized calling, over 800 people calling, do you think we sit there and dial these numbers?
3. We read a script verbatum, per the contract of the client.
4. We do not say "this is not a solicitation call", its not in the script.
5. Non-profit org's, which we are calling on behalf of are not subject to the National Do Not Call List. (Neither are surveys or political calls) We have a legal department, we obey all the laws.
6. We call no more than 8 times per campaign. We call once a day.
7. If there is no answer, it is because the dialer is slow, or there was a delay in the Watts line. Why would we call and then hang up?
8. The law allows us to call 8am to 9pm. I get most of my volunteers between 8am and 9am.
9. There is no caller Id, because it is expensive for a non-profit to provide
10. Our pitch lasts 30 seconds, we do this once a year per org, its hysterical how much time you people waste counting how many times we call, just answer your phone and say yes or no, If you dont have 30 seconds to possibly help someone with Heart Disease, or Lung Disease thats pretty sad. But you sit on the couch and watch how many advertisements a day on TV?
11. If you are eating dinner or are in the shower, do what I do, don't answer your phone.
12. We obtain over 800,000 wonderful volunteers, and help raise millions of dollars for critical research. non-profits dont have enough volunteers to handle this large of a fundraiser, so they have us do it for them. Would you volunteer 40 hours per week to talk to rude people all day?
13. InfoCision does not outsource to India, I am an American citizen, I speak English and pay my taxes.
14. So, Answer the phone, tell us you dont want to help people in need, hang up, and we will call next year. And if you cant stand the 30 seconds, ask to be put on the Infocision Do not call list, we will do it, and will not call back. Do it politely, I am a cancer survivor, supporting a family of 6, my husband is out of work, and InfoCision allows me to work at home and is flexible with my hours. I am a human being, but I am sure some of you are so proud that you have at times been so rude you made me cry.
