just got a call from this number who is this

call my business every day, when I picked up the phone no one there

I just called that # and a girl answers  "Allied Interstate LLC".  I Google their name came up as debt collection agency.

constantly calling everyday, looking for someone that I don't know, told them they are not here. keeps calling, for about 2 years now

Send them a letter (recorded delivery), keep a copy. Inform them that you intend to charge them £10 per call, plus £10 per minute or portion thereof. When you're certain your letter has been received by them, next time they call you tell them of your intention to charge. Pop along to your local Small Claims Court. Fill in the appropriate documentation (the Clerk will give you guidance with this). Claim for wasting your time (whatever you think you deserve) Plus expences (for example you may have to take time away from work). Plus your expenses. Plus compensation for stress etc. That's how I deal with obnoxious people like them!!!

This is a scam collection agency never answer and NEVER give out information.  NEVER NEVER If they keep calling file a police report.

This number called me everyday for two weeks with no msg being left on machine.  I finally called them and asked who they were and why they were calling.  Come to find out that they are calling for my EX brother in law from 20 years ago!!!! I told them I have been divorced for 20 years and I have no clue nor do I care where the ex and his family is located.  She assured me that they would quit calling...well just got ANOTHER call today..  WTH.  they stopped for two weeks and now the calls are starting again.  what do I do????

When we answer the call, they hang up. When we ignore the call and let our answering system pick up, they leave no message (just a lot of background noise).

They are not a "scam", and filing a police report is great if you feel like being laughed at.

They call everyday, sometimes twice a day

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and/or that don't identify themselves through Caller I.D. -- neither conditions were met by this number - So I blocked it. I have never had any student loans, have never co-signed with anyone who has, and any old credit card debt was discharged more than 8 years ago through bankruptcy.

My personal remedy for getting harassing calls like this: Since my home phone only allows a total of 12 numbers to be blocked, I forward all calls to my cell phone and block them there, with an app that has no limit.

Debt collector seeking information on how to contact my elderly mother. Called swore at me, and then hung up, when I informed him that he'd have to speak to her lawyer.
