The caller disconnected when I picked up and I called them back.  They told me they were a collection company and I owe several hundred dollars on a dept store credit card and to a national auto loan company.  Never did any business on credit with either.  

These scammers get phone numbers and call people to try to get 'payments' over the phone.  They use fairly small amounts they hope people will think they have forgotten about and owe.  It's a scam.

Do not pay.  If you have some free time, it can be fun to engage them in conversation just to waste their time - they can't bother others when they are on the line with you.

IM GETTING THIS CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER  , BUT NO ANSWER , I HANG UP , AND IN SECONDS IT RINGS AGAIN  , SAME NUMBER ,  I SAY  HELLO  AND IT HANGS UP. VERY ANNOYING.

Go Johnny Go!!!!!!  Love your attitude!!!!!   They just annoy me so much hang up as loudly as possible - hearing is an important even essential component of harrassment.  Thanks for making me laugh today!!!!
