The number is for Advanis, a research company.  Listen to what the agent has to say (they aren't selling anything - EVER!) and if you aren't interested in participating, politily decline.  If you hang up, they have to call back.  If you don't answer, their computer will keep calling you.

I have taken the liberty of reporting this number to the FCC and Do not Call List. I am getting fed up with the calls almost every day and even on a Saturday

They call every night and hang up.  They never say anything - just hang up on me.  Very annoying.  So I called back and heard a recording.  I am reporting them to FCC as well.

call 1-888-944-9212 and tell them to remove your number off their calling list AFTER you report them to the FCC

I love google voice.  It automatically identified this number as a spam call and blocked it.  I looked it up just to make sure it wasn't anything important.

I got call from this number. no VM. It looks like spam call.

Even when I answer, no one is on the line.  I'm Fed UP and I don't want to take it anymore.  My phone number is on the DNC List so why am I still getting these annoying calls?????

This number constantly calls during dinner hours or when I am putting children to bed. I've asked them to call in the afternoon when they are sleeping and I'd be happy to take their survey but they consistently call at the worst times, I either ignore or hang up on them. It does no good to ask them not to call because they will anyway and survey takers are exempt from the DNC list. Honestly the DNC list should mean I don't want to be bothered in my own home same as door to door salespeople. If I want your service I will contact you, don't bother me or I'll take any business I do need to someone who doesn't harrass me.

It is Advani's research.. it doesn't make any difference if you put your name on the no call list.. the phone companies send the telemarketers the list of people to do not call....lol does that make sense???????

Represented herself as BB&T. Called at 7 p.m.  Asked them to remove me from their call list.  Am tired of these unwanted calls.  I have no business with them.

Received this call this evening and was told to press 1 to receive a link for a survey about Alberta Health Services....1 hour later and still no link...may be a hoax....dont press any numbers just hang up

Received a call for the last 2 days on my cell.  Let it go to voicemail, but no message ever left.
Coincidentally, or not??, I also received two hang up calls on my landline on the same day. I let the answering machine take it, but no message left. Call hands up soon after answering machine kicks in.
