Called 3 times today. Picked up on the last one but all I got was silence~

I also keep receiving calls from that number, several times a day. I pick up and just silence. Very annoying.
I called that number back and it seems to be from a "call center" company called VOX DATA, located in Canada. I did a Google search and this is what I found:

Seems to call every other day to my cell phone and home phone but I haven't been able to answer. I finally called it back today and a recording said it was Vox Data call centre calling as a courtesy call but doesn't say from who. They never leave me an answering message.

I answered the call today as I was home.   The line reception was horrible. I said hello, waited there was alot of background noise and commotion in the background and then they disconnected the line.
A moment later, my phone rang again, this time I got a male from a call centre.  It was CIBC for a credit card offer to save me money.  I told him that I was in fact he was costing me money as he was using my airtime and if I had wanted a credit card I would have contacted a bank personally.  He was polite, we ended the call.

Got a call from that number... Silence. Anyway to block a phone number?

Phone number keeps calling my home.. called it back it just sz business hours are between 5-9om est standard time please call back then.

Just got the same call on my cell phone. Silence. I called back, and I got the same business message than you Maggie.

Got a call from this number today. Calling on behalf of CIBC trying to offer me a credit card.

Got the same call twice in the last two days.  The first time I missed it.  Today they called again and says they are CIBC and offer me air miles on my aeroplane card.  I said I'm not interested right after they ask me for personal information.  Anyone can confirm is it real or a scam?

Calls two or three times a day.  Inever pick up.

I didn't receive a call from this number, my bank account did.  Whoever it is, took $9.85 from my account.  Thank goodness, it wasn't payday.  I have had them blocked from my account and I am disputing it now.

This number calls me (Ottawa) 2-3 times per day, leaving blank messages when it goes to answering machine.  Answered once and the guy said hello Mr. ____... I said "could you please remove me from your list?"  He said no problem, and hung up (actually polite) -- Now, the number calls 4-5 times a day bombarding me.  Very frustrating.

I also have been receiving hang ups every day for over a week. Thank you for the Vox Data info, I called the toronto location at (416) 224-8482 and they said yes it is one of their numbers. I asked them to remove me from their list so hopefully this will stop. I also asked why they refuse to leave messages instead of just hanging up and she said they have technical issues with transmission??
I can't believe I had to waste my time with all this, not to mention my mobile minutes! There should really be a ban on this type of soliciting it is sooo frustrating.

Been receiving calls from this number twice a day, for the past 3 weeks.

One of the reasons I've heard why no one answers at the other end is, it's an "anybody-home hunting service".

These auto-dial computers will keep on trying at different times of the day for several weeks to see if someone answers the phone. Once they get a hit, they will log the day and time. Afterwards they would either: 1)call you at specified time/day on behalf of some company who contracted them or 2)sell this information to other companies

On my caller ID, way too many telemarketing calls come in to our home.

Called around 4pm today on my home phone, picked up and got no response.

The same number has been calling me for the past three days without leaving any message on my answering machine. Today I happened to be home when they called, so I piked up but there was only silence!

Called me 2 days in a row.  No message.  Called the number and was put on hold.  Every 5minutes I was told the call volume was high and it would be another 5 minutes.  Left on speaker phone for 30minutes...lol  Think I will just keep calling cuz its their dime being a 1-866 number.  Recommend everyone call and hang up once they answer the phone ten do it all over again.  Also, the above stated voxdata website is currently under construction.  Maybe the BBB needs to get involved.

I have sent info@voxdata.com and rhumaines@voxdata.com the following e-mail.  Maybe we all should start charging for our time, phone service etc then they might get the hint.


Remove my number from your call list or I will have to submit a bill to your company for using my time and telephone service I pay for.  I will be fair.  I charge $75/hr for my computer services so I feel my personal time is worth double.  I will be submitting an Invoice at $150/hr for all time I personally use and a minimum of $5 per call just for using my phone service.
