- kait| 5 repliesSaid it was from Caldwell County jail, I think. Recieved call at 1:30am so a little sketchy on the details.
- mCalled at 10:30 PM. No message left but I am pretty positive it was from one of my delinquent credit cards...I didn't know they were allowed to call so late.
- AnonymousReceived two calls on Jul 25, 2009 at 11:16 and 11:19 pm (central time). Missed the call but the voicemail was an automated system indicating "accept call, press 1" or "block future calls, press 3". Did a Google search and found that this phone number is linked to the Washington County (Oregon) Inmate Phone Services which is managed by www.intelmate.com.
- Greg JohnsonReceived 4 phone calls from this phone number. Caller only gave 1st name as Nick. Would like to help but don't know Nick's last name

- iamjustmeThis phone number is associated with inmates at a county jail. This is the long distance carrier that they use to call out from the jail. You can also use this number to add money to your phone either home or cell phone so an inmate can stay in touch with you while they are in jail. It also has a feature where you can add money to an inmates General Phone Account so they can call other people.

- mema replies to kait| 2 repliesI got a call from this number saying it was a jail , and this service was for sale for inmate phone calls...I think it is a scam.... Says your number is not set up to accept collect calls. Then wants you to pay for it.
- SteveReceived 2 calls from this number 6/25/11 and 1 on 6/26/11. Call was on behalf of Henry at the Oklahoma County Jail. Caller was a recorded message from a call service for inmates because my phone does not accept collect calls. I'm afraid Henry is up a creek.

- ******I got two calls last night from this number and about 4-7 calls in the last hour. I DON NOT LIKE BEING CALLED SO MUCH! >_> If I find out who this is I'm sewing him/her/it (I like it best) for harassment.
- MtncidThe phone number is for www.telmate.com which is the chosen phone service for almost all criminal correctional facilities across the country from city, county, state to federal. I suggest that you go into your cell phone tools and select block or reject for this number that way you won't hear the call and they cannot leave a message. If you want to contact telmate customer service at (866) 516-0115 have at it and good luck!

- Grams| 2 repliesTo all you people that are getting these calls: They are from a friend or relative who was put in
jail. These people have no other way of letting you know where they are. This is not a scam. This
number is a phone service that is usually the only way the person in jail can contact you. Yes a
collect call isnt cheap but if you accept it you will then have peace of mind & know who it is.
I was worried sick but now know they are at least alive. - carrie| 1 replyit is legit - unfortunately. my cell phone is of course not set up for collect calls but they did allow one call as a "courtesy." if you know someone in jail or could be, this could be them calling.
- lrsThis number said it was from kootenai county jail and started to calling me at 430 in the morning and continues to still call and its 430 am every 5-10 min wow ridiculous !!!
- Caller: kootenai county jail
- stumpedi receive up to 8 calls a day from this number. please help!!!
- jegan"You may request to have your phone number blocked from receiving inmate phone calls, by contacting Telmate 1-866-516-0115" ,Kitsap County Jail, Washington.
- Caller: Kitsap County Jail, WA
- bk yoI would think this is a scam. I got a call on both my phones within a few days of each other. One phone is my public phone and one is a backup and only I know the number, no else has it. So no reason for that phone to get called from someone in jail.
- RondaSaid to call them immediatley.
- Caller: Doesn't say
- MoniqueI get a call atleast 10-20 times a night it rings half a second each time. Today it rang a full ring and I answered said an inmate was trying to call me collect....I don't know anyone in jail. I called the number back and they said they need my name to find out what inmate it is that's trying to get in touch with me. I said you don't need my name for that it needs to stop.... I stated you have been reported and was put on hold and again asked for my number I refused. I do not know anyone in jail. Also, if someone wanted to talk to me so badly then why not let the phone ring till I pick up?
- jawzCall was collect to my cell phone
- Caller: unknown
- e| 1 replyDo not accept this call, apparently inmates found a way to make extra money while in jail. I've been getting calls from this number all week 10+ times a day to my cell. Don't know what they are saying, but I don't know anyone who is in jail. Always sounds muffled and I'm pretty sure inmates don't get that many calls in one day.
- Jackie| 1 replyThis isn't a scam, it's an inmate trying to call you either on purpose or by accidentally dialing your number by accident. I got a call from the number once and answered it worried it was someone I knew in jail, it was a wrong number and the guy apologized profusely. I did some research to make sure it wasn't a scam and the company is legit. Jails contract with a few different companies for their inmates to make calls through. It goes out as collect even if they call across the street. This way the jail doesn't have to pay for phone service, they contract with these companies and the companies get paid every time an inmate makes a call. If you look up the phone number it's location comes up as the companies head office, not where the inmate is actually calling from. Also, if you listen to the recording all the way through there is an option to block calls from the correctional facility so if you are getting repeat phone calls, select that option. Also, not sure why the guy posting above me is pissed off he called customer service and they asked him for his name or phone number. They don't have ESP, they have to look you up some way to block your number. I know they can also look up the name of the inmate who placed the call so you can see if you know them or not.
I'm posting here because I missed a call from this number again tonight and had forgotten what it was too until I looked it up here. So yeah, not a scam. I have heard of a scam that involved inmates and collect calls but this isn't it. That has to do with call forwarding, simply pressing 1 to accept or 4 to refuse isn't going to harm you.- Caller: Telemate
