To be honest if you call me I'd like to know why because what's the point of calling and hanging up and I'll also want to know how you got my number?its creepy 💁🏼

This has been happening to me for months. first my home phone now my cell. still not sure what it is, but youre not the only one.

Several calls a day, never leaving a msg. How do they get our cell number & who the hell are they!

I heard there are robo calls that only validate a pick up.  I.e.  it's a service used by sales and who knows who else, to determine if there's a human on the other end, or a fax machine, computer , etc.  So don't pick up, because you validate your number as belonging to a human. THEN your number gets bought and sold to sales.

The people at Portfolio Recovery are genuine bottom feeders of debt collection industry. They buy old statute expired debt and through harassment tactics try to collect 10 to 30 cents on the dollar. Of course the minute anything is collected, the statute date resets to day 1 and their other outfits and ambulance chasers come after you. If you have noticed their letter of settlement is only for the debt with them, not original debtor or the next place they sell it to. The only way to fight these guys is to get with your state authorities. These guys know all the Federal loopholes.

portfolio Recovery Associates calls my cell phone I don't owe them anything

I have been on do not call list for years, am elderly disabled veterans widow and keep reporting caller to the do not caller registry.  I do not have a computer and am mostly housebound. Do not know how to stop the harrassment
