I am registered on the "do not call" list. Who is calling me and not leaving a message.....and on Sunday just before dinner.

Who is calling several times a day? 7 days a week ,I'm on the do not call list!

I get this call and no one leaves a message

It's a political call for John McCain....unfortunately political ads are not covered under the do not call list. Grrrrrrrr!!!

Second time these people have called today.  www.johnmccain.com - They do the same as all of the other 866 numbers - never say anything and just hang up.

This time, I picked up and held a button down in their ear.  Then I went to johnmccain.com and sent them a message telling them to stop calling.

Also - report these to the FCC at fcc.gov and file a complaint.  You can also file complaints with donotcall.gov.

EVERYDAY the #866-520-5769 calls. There is NO MESSAGE - just silence. When I call back, a prerecorded message says to log into www.johnmccain.com. I have to say this is TOTALLY ANNOYING and needs to be stopped. I called 703-418-2008 to request my # be removed from the Missouri calling list. Local contracts were made to make phone calls. I also submitted an email request to remove my number from all lists immediately. Today is Sunday morning and waking up to this annoying call is not what I want or expect. This is no way to get support for the McCain campaign.

calls all hours day and night any day incl sunday. When answered, no one is there.

Multiple hang up calls.  When I saw other comments re: source, I went online to the website. Under their 'contact us' link, I sent a message for them not to call my number again.  Politicians may not have to abide by the 'do not call' list, but once you tell them not to call your number, older FTC rules should apply.  If you tell a telemarketer not to call again, if they do, there is a $250 fine for each time they call you again.

Just received another of these calls from an undisclosed number, not the one I received 20 minutes ago that I commented on.  This one was from Saxby Chambliss on behalf of John McCain.  I replied to the 'contact us' on his official website and gave him an ear full.

I have experienced all of the above and taken all of the described actions via websites as well. Thanks for the board and current postings.
Our land line had been out for a week until yesterday. I did not realize how peaceful it had been until repaired. Politicinas create enough invasions of privacy while in office, they should not be exempt from the "do not call" restrictions before they get there!

People, please read the earlier comments - this is a political call and they are generally not covered by the Do Not Call law.

Do not call me!

I have received a call from this irritating McCain number.

We can tell something about the character of the man in that we get these calls.

I got a call yesterday from Mitt Romney. It said on the caller ID, MITT ROMNEY for president! I picked up and talked to a very nice young lady. I noted that I'd gotten calls from a number with an "irritating support Romney message". I gave her the number. She agreed it is a political "dirty trick".

So we really need to investigate the McCain people and see if they will DENY
the unidentified numbers.

If they admit they belong to McCain, then figure out the "political implications" (I.e., McCain wants to be covert, does not want to admit things, or be "up front". All that matters is "POWER".

The Romney people, on the other hand, were VERY concerned about "unidentified" Romney callers.

My two cents worth..except to say..as much as I despise Hillary, I will vote for HER rather than John McCain. Being beaten up 30 years ago as a "prisoner of war" does NOT make one qualified to be president.

There are many calls per week with no connection from anyone to my home phone. I am on the do not call lists this call still comes in at all times of the day.

This computer or person needs to get alife and stop abusing the communication medium we all treasure. These actions harm everyone since we doubt if the call ringing is a real call

Got call did not answer no message left

this call came in while i was on another call; quickly switched only to realize it was a 'dead' call.  glad to know it's only a nuisance.  note to mark:  do you really want the 'she-bat' in the oval office?

Received the call; my Callmenot.com device intercepted, and of course no one pressed "1" to ring through, and my device repeated the message that "this phone number does not accept solicitations or survey callers of any kind", and to hang up and remove my number from their call list. Right ... just like the "000 Unavailable" calls will cease before the sun burns out ...
