- annoyed relativeThey called wouldn't tell me anything except have this person callus back. I don't have a relationship with the relative they were looking for, but she is ill. So I tried to find out if it was a medical issue they were calling about. She got mad. I told the caller that if they weren't gonna answer my questions I didn't want them calling me back. She replied that they could call whomever whenever they wanted. I hung up. A few minutes later I called back and told the receptionist that I will not pass on messages because I don't get along with the person they are trying to reach. And to not bother me again. She said she'd pass the message on to her boss. I will see if they call again.

- JeannieSomeone called from this number and asked for me, my nephew and my sister by name. They said it is regarding a Christina Schaffer who used us as a reference. None of us know a Christina Schaffer. He said she gave a name & phone number from each of us. (He also called my nephew and told him the same.) He would not say what she gave our names for. I dialed the number back and got a recording saying, "You have reached Hillcrest, Davidson & Associates." I hung up and looked them up online. The phone number on their website does not match the one on my caller id.What the heck is going on and how did these people get our names and phone numbers??

- Brigitte| 4 repliesI dont know who these people are. They say they are trying to collect a debt from Firstline Security. Firstline security is a ripoff and there is plenty of information out there on them. why would I believe these guys to be legit? Do I give them money or not?? HELP!!

- annoyed| 1 replyThese people at Hillcrest Davidson & Associates are offensive, abrasive and bullying. They are attempting to collect money for Firstline security whose security system was responsible for almost burning down my son’s house. He has been fighting with Firstline for almost 2 years. They want him to pay for monitoring a system that didn’t work, he wants them to pay for repairs to his house. He called to have his system repaired but no one ever showed up. A couple months after the fire Firstline called about a payment, he said he wouldn’t pay for something he didn’t have or have the use of, and the harassment began.

- ANNOYED AND CONCERNEDI recieved a call from Ms Cox at Hillcrest,Davison and Associates. She asked for me by name as if we knew each other. Then she asked if I still rent, then corrected herself and asked if I still own. I told her I wouldn't answer any questions until she identified herself and what she wants. She asked if I rented to a party because they are filing a lien on my property which is news to me and I haven't a clue who the person is. I don't know what their agenda is but I don't like it and it certainly doesnt appear to be legitimate.

- jcarpenter| 1 replyMy family and I have all received letters from Hillcrest Davidson & Associates and our last names are not our real last names of these letters sent to us, but they somehow know our first names. This is obviously a scam. They even sent a letter addressed to my two year old daughter about a bill from an alarm company. I mean come on, really? So anyone who doesn't think this is a scam is an idiot and you can go ahead and be scared of them and pay them, but if there is no circumstantial evidence of you actually owing money to these companies, then just ignore them. If you try to contact them they will most likely ask you personal information to "verify" your account and there you go gettting scamed that easily!

- unknown replies to BrigitteFistline Security is out of business and filed for bankruptcy. They are trying to get debts from those who refused to pay for services they were not receiving with Firstline. They sold the contracts off to other locations and took your money and didn't give you any security service. Send them a CEASE and DESIST Letter and tell them not to bother you any more and by law they have to stop calling you or you can sue them.
- unknown replies to mz. mbaHillcrest, Davison & Associates are a debt collector for a company that filed bankruptcy and is no longer in business (Firstline Security). Don't know why they are trying to collect for a company that is no longer in business but I do know if you have received letters or phone calls from them and you want it to stop, send them a letter of CEASE AND DESIST and demand that they show you where and how you owe THEM the money and to stop calling you and your friends/relatives/business or you will sue. This is all under the Fair Credit Act Law. They have to stop calling you and send all information to you in writing. Of course if they do not prove that you owe the money in 30 days from the letter then they are to remove it from your credit report. You won't hear from them again if you send them the CEASE & DESIST letter (you can find a copy of it on Google) and send it both Certified and regular mail. If you do continue to hear from them even after they receive the letter certified, report them and file a harassment lawsuit.
- QUEENBEE-XYZ| 3 repliesI started receiving calls from these same people (Hillcrest, Davidson & Associates) a couple of months ago. I do not answer 1-866 numbers accept for this one time. They tried to tell me I owe for an home alarm security system. They wouldn't give me any detail info. Come to find out the (Apex) company that I did get the system from sold my account to another monitoring system (S.A.I.) and they went under so they sold accounts to Hillcrest to try and extort money. S.A.I. stopped monitoring my system long ago without notice and stopped taking their monthly fee from my bank account so I purchase a system with ADT. I called back once I got a letter from them saying I owe $855.79. They couldn't tell me what this amount is for or anything. I said I will just call S.A.I. The guy I was speaking with said they are not going to tell me nothing. So I said I'm just suppose to pay this out of the blue with no explanation. He said I signed a contract and I said yes with Apex not S.A.I. so the contract is void because they breached the contract. He then became rude and was cutting me off. I was getting frustrated and mad because he told me that this will go on my credit report. Hillcrest buys accounts that default or are not valid and try to collect money. I'm report them to BBB and Apex and S.A.I. like everyone else has. I see there are many complaint boards/forums on this and the other alarm companies. I'm sending a certified letter to collection agency to stop calling me and sending letters.

- mercurial replies to QUEENBEE-XYZ| 1 replyHey, I can top this. I work at a large U.S. Federal agency. Their robocall system called AN OFFICE PHONE THAT IS NOT LISTED IN ANY EASILY ACCESSIBLE DIRECTORY. Of any kind. You REALLY have to hunt for department numbers for this Federal agency. The recorded message said "This is an attempt to collect a debt. Call back immediately to 866-524-9866". No name. No identification as to what it was about. I actually tried to call them to give them a piece of my mind for interrupting my work - in a Federal building - at a phone with an exchange that is ONLY assigned to this specific agency - to tell them to get the Fed's number the heck out of their files. The person I finally connected with was obviously of limited intelligence and low I.Q. and found it hysterically funny that I was annoyed that they were interrupting my work in the Federal government. It appears that their system robo-calls numbers at random, hoping to frighten someone into coughing up money.
