- BillI just missed the first call or they hung up. Since then two or three calls I did not answer.
- RichardI just got a call from what appears to be "Allied Interstate" - one of the most harrassing and therefore one of the most reported debt collections agencies. They waited for me to come to the phone and once I said hello, they hung up. I will try to call back, but I don't expect it to get anywhere. maybe I'll record the conversation.
- Caller: Allied International
- RubyI have been getting several calls from 1-866-526-7795 every day. I go to The National Do Not Call Registry to file a complaint today because My phone was registered there.
- jeff| 1 replyhave been receiving calls from this number on our cell phone 3 times a day for the past 2 weeks. there is no message. 3 days ago I called it back and a live person answered and asked for my 10 digit capitol one account. I told her that we did NOT have any accounts with capitol one and were registered with the don't call list, and to remove this number from the calling list or we would seek legal advice. She apologized and asked for our number, which I gave to her. The calls continued, 3 times a day (each day it is around 830 am, 330 pm, and 730 pm). Tonight, I answered it, heard a message saying "all of our customer representatives are helping other customers right now, please hold and someone will be with you as soon as..." and the recording was interrupted by a live person, to whom I said "what is your name please?" and she said hello, and again I said, a little more perturbed this time, "what is your name please" to which she replied "shutup" and hung up. I called the number back and again got the "thank you for calling Capitol One, this is Tara, may I have your 10 digit account number please?" I asked her name again, she repeated it, and I told her what had just occurred, and that we did NOT have any accounts with Capitol One, gave her our number again, and told her if we received any more calls we would be seeking legal action. I am now going to check with our local consumer advocate on what sort of action to take.
- Caller: return call connects with Capitol One
- T.C.Have been receiving calls from this number at least 5 times a day. Apparently computer generated as there is never anyone on the line. When I called back the operator was asking for a Capital One account #, which I don't have. Possible that thieves are trying to determine when your house is vacant so as to facilitate a b and e. Be wary.
- RC| 2 repliesIf you haven't you need to register your home and cell phone numbers with the Do Not Call Registry https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx. Then file a complaint listing the numbers on your caller ID. I have reported them before. The calls stopped for several months, but just started up again. It appears on the caller ID as 800 Service with many different 866 numbers (866-526-7795 and 866-570-5007 being the most recent). I reported them again today. If the gov gets enough of these complaints maybe they will do something about this company.
- Caller: 800 Service
- Paula N.My 14 yo daughter has been receiving calls from this number for the past several days, on her cell phone. She has never had a credit card or a Capital One account. When I called the number back, they asked for my Capital One account number; I informed them we had never had an account, and that my daughter was receiving calls from their number. The woman asked for the cell number, and I gave it to her. She looked it up and said it wasn't in their system but they would flag it. How do you flag something that's *not* in your system? Seems fishy to me. I will make sure my daughter tells me if she gets any more of these calls. Oh, and of course no message is ever left!
- marsa woman called from 1 866-526-7795 asking for my ex-wife. I have been divorced for three years. this lady insisted on me giving out her phone number. i don't like my ex but wouldn't give it to her. this lady seemed to to be irritated with me so i hung up on her.
- Anonymousi have had several calls from this number. twice people have left voice messages on my cell phone saying, "hello?" and then they hang up. i get up to 7 calls a day...its annoying. i called the number back once and all they say is Hello, my name is ...... they don't even say what company they're with...very wierd.
- GowI found the mother company, they are IQOR in Columbus, OH 43231 and told me that they are Allied Interstate. I called 1-800-811-4214 and requested that they remove me from calling list. They said they will have my name off the list within 48 hours. I also reported them to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at 1-877-382-4357 and suggest you do too as this will establish a pattern and then they will be sited and possibly fined. Good Luck
- Caller: Allied Interstate / IQOR
- abbymany many calls from this #. they are looking for a teddy davis. told them no one with that name lived here. i asked how they found my # and they said someone gave my # as a contact # for good ole teddy. beware bad ju-ju bwana
- Caller: allied interstate
- FYIDo Not Call Registry does not stop collections calls. Those are exceptions to the law. Do your research!!! Being on the Do Not Call list will not stop any of these calls.
- Evi got a couple of phone calls from this number 1866-526-7795 anyone knows where i hould report this to? any advices i gave them my information...
- AzlappleI keep getting calls on my cell phone from this number. They never leave a message and I refuse to answer it and use my minutes dealing with them. From research, it seems they are a collection agency of some sort... I do not owe anyone anything - so I know it's bogus... plus, I never put my cell phone out there for anything. Any ideas anyone as to how to make this stop? Did the FTC call work? Who the heck has time for this crap??
- barbieThey have called twice (both at 8 am) saying from Capital One looking for my ex-husband. I called back since the first jerk was a real wiseass and refused to be polite. Second was lady who said that the number would be removed. Guess I'll report to FTC for harassment.
- Caller: Capital One/Allied Collection
- SamThis number keeps calling my cell phone and a woman keeps asking for Melissa. I am clearly not Melissa and I have asked them SEVERAL times to stop calling. I have asked politely and they still keep calling. It is averaging once a week now and it is using my EXPENSIVE cell phone minutes. I am very frustrated
- Caller: 866-526-7795
- norvilleI keep getting calls and they ask for my capital one number. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. tell them that you will call the capital one number on the back of your card
- nonameThis person called me and asked who i was and what my number was. Who ever it is, stop calling or i will call the police.
- harassedThese people should be fined for harassement. They call and hang up every single time. I called them back (caller ID) and they asked, "What's your capital one number?" Told them I don't have one and have never had one. I asked that they remove me from their call list which they promised they'd do. They said it would take "24 hours". Well, now instead of calling a dozen times per day they call several times per hour starting at 6 or 7 a.m. This should be illegal.
- File a complaint| 1 replyI just filed an official complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Took only a few minutes of my time. From the FTC website below.
