They left a message on my answering machine saying they were trying to locate someone whose name was unintelligble. I didn't know who they were so called the number they left 1-866-7282. I spoke to some Indian guy who refused to tell me who they were and when I asked him  a second time he hung up.

I get the same call every day five times a day but I don't answer it I think it is debts collect

Someone from this number called me and asked me if I knew, my neighbors, and I said I did, and then they asked me to go to their home and tell them that if they didn't get in touch with them today they were going to start proceedings against them.  I am cripled, and I walked up to tell my neighbors the message, they weren't home.  My Mom came to my home and when I told her what had happened, she called the number and someone named Samantha answered, my mom asked to speek to a supervisor, which she replied, was not there, then when my mom tried to explain the call to me, this person got very indignant, and rude to my mom.  My mom told her they had no right calling someone and asking them to deliver messages to a neighbor about the neighbors problems.  She told them to not call again.

I had a call from this number on my answering machine asking me to please call that it was very urgent and to ask for ext.7341 . So I did. Then they wanted to know Who I was and I told them , then they ask me If I knew a Jennet same last name and I said no I didn't. Then they ask me my name and mittle name and I told them. Then they wanted my add. birth date, last 4 numbers of my s.s. number whitch I gave to them because I thought they would find out I wasn't the one that owed them money. I ask them how they got my phone number because its unlisted and they would not tell me. I'm still getting calls and they won't hang up just set on the phone. I have made a police report on them.

You made a police report against a phone call??? LMAO police will not take that kind of report...they will tell you to call your local phone provider... what a bunch of idiots you people are...

Actually, if someone calls on the phone and makes an attempt to get your personal information, the police WILL take that sort of report.  It's against the law.  Fraud, anyone?  Identity theft?  The message I had was clearly phishing for information I would never give to anyone over the phone, and there was no explanation or comment about any debt at all.

NEVER give your personal information out on the phone to anyone you did not call yourself.  Even then, think twice.  

And to the idiot who said "easier to just pay your bills", did you read any of the comments? These people may well be debt collectors, but they are harassing people who DO NOT OWE them anything.

Recently they started calling my phone which I have never answered, I never really thought about it until yesterday when they sent me a text message on my cell phone saying "Betty needs to talk to you. Please call 8665417282. weird.

I just had a grea time with them.  The name of the company is Collect Corp and they are (at least claim to be) a representative of Bank of America.  I personally have no dealing with BofA.  I think they are they positively worst bank in the world myself.  The guys I spoke to were less then helpful, but some guy named Kurt is a bit freaked out now as I was able to obtain his home phone number and am now leaving my number on his home caller ID.

They are Canadian, I suggest that when you speak with them.  Give them a run a hard time.

Hey Jose, or i should say Joseph, we all had a laugh with your childish call in's that night, especially Kurt, here's an idea, just putting it out there, don't want you to get upset, but who are we really kidding here?...talk it over with the wife and PAY YOUR BILL!

Stupid lady was way rude. Asked for me by first name... made me mad. Didn't want to tell me where she was calling from or who she was. Told her she had wrong number and she freaked out.

These people can kiss my ass. I'm reporting them to BBB if I can figure all this out. They have NO RIGHT to give out my personal information to ANYONE! They started calling people who I guess they assume are my family???? UGH!

Thank you all for taking the time to inform about this scam phone number.  Call I received was unclear except for phone number and so checked here.  Will not answer future calls.

this number calls every half hour

Left a msg asking me if I was who my VM said I was. If this is B of A, that's crazy....pay all those bills...won't be answering again....

why in the hell would you give out any information to some [***] on the phone running a scam?????

The calling number 8665417282 is from USA with call being forwarded from overseas, This is a total FRAUD and you must not give them any information.

If I ever meet these mother flukers I will beat the [***] out them for wasting my time and harassing.
