Keeps calling and never leaves a message.

They have been calling me for days and leaving voice mails saying "this is an important message from GE Money regarding Mervyns and they want me to call back.  They call as late as 10PM!  I don't what they want, but after reading all these posts, I'm sure they want me to sign up for a credit card.

A guy by the name of Randy called informing me that my wife owes some amount from Mervyns. My wife never owes anything from anybody. This guy must be a [***] or a stupid lunatic. I bawled him out calling him idiot, [***], [***], etc. before I hanged up.

I've started getting calls from this number for the past 5 days, once a day.
It says the same as Skip's post about GE Money Regarding Mervyns but adds 'for Maria something'.  Well I'm not Maria nor do I know a Maria, they simply have the wrong # since I've never shopped at Mervyns.  The options are hit 1 if you're Maria as if they are trying to confirm and I rather not confirm to simply talk to someone that there's no Maria here.  I ended up blocking that call instead.


What a Pain, they need to find a better way to call... maybe have someone live call in instead.

Same with me...I finally called them back after they called me 2 times a day for months and found out they are looking for a kavi merkur who owes them money.  It would help if they would say on their phone message that it was about credit owed and I would have called them back months ago since I don't have a credit card with them.  Instead, I did a internet search for GE Money and saw they were having an introductory offer with low rates on credit, so I assumed they were trying to get me to sign up for a credit card.

I'm getting billed for outgoing calls of this number.  I don't use toll free #'s on my cell when I know it's not free. How can this be?

Same here - they call up to 10 times a day and never leave a message.  It's getting annoying - if it is legit than I wish they would leave a voicemail and I would call back.

I've seen this number on my caller ID once a day for the past 2 or 3 days.  But no message.  AND I'M ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST.  If it is legitimate, they will leave a message.  I googled the number just to see if a company name would come up - and it's pretty creepy to find out that lots of other people are getting mysterious phone calls from the same number.  It is very unprofessional to call a number countless times and not leave a message - then again, most telemarketers are not ALLOWED to leave a message.

I'm going to ignore the calls.  GE Money or Mervyns or whoever it is should send a letter or email if I owe them money.

So, what's the next step? Do we call the police or a lawyer?

i have gotten 10 calls from them today i try to answer but they hang up as soon as i say hello.

I keep getting these calls. I decided to call back and they're GE Money Bank representing Mervyn's. You can't speak to anyone unless you input your account number. It's a total FRAUD trying to capture account numbers.

These guys have been calling nonstop lately. Honestly, why do they keep calling if I don't pick up. Don't they get the message?
