Its a collection agency from Montana don't bother giving them anything. It may not be for or about you but maybe a friend or relative. This is how they gather info on their targets.

Caller was looking for someone else, but indicated that they did not want to cause other person any problems.  Also indicated that they could not break federal law but this could possibly be a tax related matter in an effort to frighten me into giving information.  I told them to send a certified letter to the address they had on file.

Called and left a message for someone with the same last name as mine, but not related to me. Reading these other comments remind me of how a long while back (before I had caller ID; maybe a year or so ago), someone called, again looking for someone with the same last name. Said it was an important legal matter. I told him I could not help.

they ask for someone that must have had my number previously.........anyway.... if it continues I ill change my number....... who are these fools anyway?

Received a call from this number on my answering machine. They were looking for my ex-husband that I divorced 15 years ago. The message stated that I was a contact listed for him and if I could give him the message to call them. I called them back and told them that I haven't seen or heard from him since I divorced him and that he doesn't know how to find me so I was pretty sure he didn't list me as a contact. Talk about a bunch of idiots!

This company is anything but a scam. People who do not pay their bills do not like collection places....best plan ..pay your bills, dont worry about ti if they are looking for someone else, get a job or a hobby...OR MAYBE just sue everyone who calls you and has the wrong number.
Dont talk to them if you dont have an outstanding bill what could you be concerned with if you pay your bills??? really get a life..The name of the comoany is ARS Recovery Services LLC Kalispell MT. 8665521377 or 4067559522...I checked with the BBB they have no hits there.

The caller left a message and mis-pronouned Her company name to make it sound like she said she was calling from the IRS.  Like, "hello, Mr.T, This is Jessica calling from the offices of the ...hmm, hmm - (inaudiable)...RS, IPlease return my call...blah, blah, blah."

Get a life and pay your bills, there wouldn't be a need for these companies if you all wouldn't steal from creditors by charging debt and then not paying them and then hiding from them.

They have had a bad debit of mine for almost a year now. Don't say [***] about paying bills. These people are f***ing worthless [***]. I think they all are pieces of f***ing [***]. They are all lying di**heads and on their website claim to be so kind in collections. They can lick my F***king bag and pi*s off. Stupid f***ing worthless bast**ds.

Automated call came in from 800-954-0226 for person not living here stating that the call was not a sales call and that the person should call 866-552-1377 to retrieve their message.

Since my last comment, this bill collecter (ARS Recovery Services LLC out of Montana) has made automated calls once every week or two with either the above automated message (see 24 Jan 2009) or one that says, "... this message is for (so-and-so) only. If you are not (so-and-so), please hang up ...". Naturally, a wrong number and I hang up. Today at 2:50 p.m. (1:50 Montana time) I received a call which the Caller ID identified as ARS Recovery Service but it was from their main number, 406-755-9522. I answered hoping that a real person was calling this time so I could tell them that they had the wrong number. However, when I answered, all I heard was a man mumbling, "mocha coffee, iced blend". Maybe he thought he was calling Starbucks to place an order or perhaps someone was taking his afternoon coffee break order. Apparently that was more important than talking to me in real time because he hung up on me. AND THEN, 1 minute later, their automated message from 866-552-1377 called ... and SORRY, I had to hang up.

For your information, this is a collection company that buys old records from collection companies in an effect to recollect on the debt again.  These people are scum and a scam.  They bought records from First USA recently and are calling people to get money out of them. I haven't had an account with this company since the early 90's and I did pay my bill and I have no outstanding debts.  So for you to sit here and say people are scum cause they can't pay their bills you are wrong.  These companies are buying peoples information and trying to collect information.  its part of being a victim of identity fraud.  This is how it happens.

I'm glad I am reading this. They have called my cell phone asking for my husband by his nickname!  He goes by a nickname of his middle name. However, anything offical would be using his FIRST name.  He never puts his nickname on anything that he would be applying for financially. I wonder how they got that name and how in the world they got MY cell phone number.
We have no outstanding debt, and recently pulled our credit reports, so I would know about anything that old.  

I would Caution anyone calling them back to not give any personal information and like someone else suggested - have them mail an offical letter to the address they have on file - BUT DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR ADDRESS.

ARS is no longer ARS, they are now going by "Stellar Recovery"  Makes you wonder... Google all the lawsuites filed under ARS and see why!
