I answered and a lady asked me who handled the bottled water account.  I told her we did not have bottled water and she hung up.

ID said out of area.  When called number back message said "canot be reached from calling area".

I don't know if this will help any of you, but here's something I've found. I have been receiving a TON of spam from this domain and decided to do a domain name registration lookup. Here's what I found:

I noticed that they used the same phone number as the one that was calling you. I don't know if it's a valid phone number for them or just a generic one that spam companies use to sign up for things.

I'm sure the number is used by unscrupulous companies.  Today a woman called my elderly mother saying she was with a recovery company to recover money fraudulently withdrawn in the past.  My experience with these types of calls indicates that she wanted to get my mother's bank info in order to withdraw fraudulently, which has happened in the past.  I now live next door to my mother, and she gave the woman my phone number.  No surprise, but the woman didn't call me.  I tried to call the number and got a message that the number can't be reached.

Keeps calling asking for Beverly.

5 calls so far today, no one there. Caller ID said "866 Services"

My caller ID listed the caller as ALLTEL DA
I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and usually there is no message left on my voice mail.

The call was a recording saying they were doing a survey for a diet product not available in the US.They started to say what they were going to give for doing the survey when I hung up.

The call keeps coming in and when I do answer no one is there.

Got a call from this number and said it was something about a new diet drug. I hung up.

Just got a call from this number and it was asking about a survey for a new diet drug. I hope it does not charge my account some way.

I just received a call from the number: 866-555-1212. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up the phone.
No message was left.

Some type of message that was mumbled and unclear.  Then an english speaking voice saying something about a survey and thanked ME for calling them.  I am on the National Do Not Call list and will report this one as well.  I am fed up with being disturbed by these types of calls constantly.  What good is this list really.

Received 2 call and they were both for a survey.

Get this call several times a week, either no answer, or some clicking and dead air.

How come the phone companies can't permanently disconnect this number from calling anyone and everyone? 555 numbers aren't supposed to work in real life anyway, which is why they use them in movies and TV shows, so that a real person's phone number isn't accidentally released to the general public.

The purpose of the list is for the government to sell it to the telemarketer down the road!! which is why I am not on any do not call list, and I do not receive hardly any calls from telemarketers.

you want no calls,  give up your phone, you want  only a few her and there, get a new number and give it ONLY to family and friends. it is companies and businesses that are selling your number to the telemarketers!!

I've gotten a few calls from this number. Do Not Call list is obviously worthless!! I never pick up, and they hang up by the time my answering machine kicks in.

Same things as Tourman above...call comes in and hang up on answering machine.
I agree the "Do Not Call List" is useless.
