Caller  asks for the parents of  your  child (  hight school student)  by   name.   Says  the  student  filled out a form at  school" for info"

explains they can  send you a SAT  prep kit  4  discs for only  $155. then asks for CC.  I  refused.

This is creepy..they must be reported...it happened to us tonight...spread the word.

also got this call -what happened to the do not call list-I'll report them anyway.Asked for my daughter(by name) mother or father. Call sounds "official"-thought there was a problem involving my daughter- it'swhy I looked up the number.

Same exact scenario, they called asked for "parent of Brandon" and then said my 16 year old son had requested this ACT prep kit and that I could preview it for free for 30 days but that they needed my cc first.  I said no, I don't give out cc info to a call I did not initiate and she was indignant.  I hung up.

Same thing, we are on the do not call list as well, but they keep calling.  How are they getting our children's names?

Same call, said that my daughter requested more info fo ACT.......she was standing next to me and I asked when she requested this.......she didn't, guy on other end heard this and hung up.  I called the number back and guess what, couldn't get through...........SCAM>>>>>>>>

The man said my son checked a box, my son said he didn't. The man tried to tell me my son wanted an ACT prep kit. My son got a 31 the first time on ACT; why would he ever need a test prep kit!

As soon as I asked the cost, the main just hung up in my year. How rude.

Got a call today asking for "the parent of .." and my daughters first and last name. I asked who was calling and they hung up.

The same scenerio.....the caller asked for the parents of my daughter.  They said she requested info on an ACT prep kit for $149.99.  They guarantee a 4 point increase on the ACT!.  Told them I would think about it, they said they are allowed 1 call per child and said I could try it for free.  I said I would still think about it and they immediateldy hung up!  Glad I checked them out before considering.

Same thing here.  Just got a call from a gentleman asking to speak with the parents of my daughter.  My other daughter answered the phone and said I was in the shower and they hung up.

I just got this call a few minutes ago. I emediatly took the number down and looked it up. I'm 13, and a guy asked for the mother or father of my sister, Michelle, who's a junior in high school in Massachusetts. I then told him that they weren't home, and asked him if i could take a message. At this he said something at the same time as I said that. I think he said "I'll try back another time," but I'm not sure. Then he hung up. Thank goodness I picked up and said they weren't home or he might have gotten information about my sister.

Hang up on this guy... not legit!  Sounded like he was "spaced out" a bit...

Got the same call. when I told him not to send anything he said "too late" and then hung up on me.

He's called my house twice.  Luckily my mom figured out it was a scam and he hung up when I answered the phone and went to get my parents.  Do not give information or anything like that

My sister answered the phone, she is the high school student. They asked for "the mother or father of *her name*". She said he sounded like some creepy man who wasn't quite right in the head. He hung up & we checked it out. How are they able to get this information?!? There has got to be some kind of leak somewhere. This is so creepy!!

They called here today but had my daughter's name wrong.  Only one time that name was used for her.. She went to a teen leadership conference last summer and someone there called her by that name.  They gave it to People to People Student Ambassadors but I wonder who else they gave it to!

I told him that wasn't my daughter's name and he said "she said that was her name ... she was standing beside me so I asked her if she used that name with anyone.. she said no and he hung up. Never did tell me what he wanted. Tried to call the number back but a message said all operators were busy.

I'm glad he hung up.  Someone should do something about them using our children's name.  Where are they getting the names?

same thing just happened to me. apparently they called once earlier today. i thought i was in trouble or something so i looked up the number too. ahhh how do they know our names and phone numbers? my house number is unlisted!!! eeek
