Got a mailer from the "G.F. Institute" in Kansas City listing this number. "Your Access to Government Funds". Purported our interest in an "estimated" $25,000. Scam tip-off: Usage of phony '<stops>' for sentence separation in breathless typed message, as once used in old-fashioned telegram or military morse messages (but still used periods!).

I got a paper of mail in the mail box. About access government funds. The interest of 25,000.  This is not real because their would only be one phone number that comes up.  In this case there are more then one.  So please whoever get this information in the mail or a phone call. JUST SAY NO THANKS......  Your life will be better in the long run. Remember no one in the world is going to give you anything for free, and you don't have to pay it back.  The only person that will give you things for free is GOD......

I recieved one of these forms in the mail.  I did call the number, and you get an automated recording of a man telling you thank you for responding to their postcard.  Then he goes on to tell you that if you push 1 right now you can register your name and adress and send them nearly $60 as a one time fee to get the no obligations packet that will be guarenteed to find you at least $25,000.  Which he then explains the many ways the money they find is there, which includes some pretty risky politics. So my advice is looking into legitamate grants usuing your local resources, but leave the others alone.

I got one of these letters. I knew it was a scam just from the envelope. I don't get any breaks like that. I wish they would use my credit! Maybe they could improve it! Anyway, how can people like this continue to get away with this? First off Identity theft is illegal! And just like giving a person your credit card to pay for groceries, giving these people your name and such doesn't give them permission to use it!

Just recevied mine in the mail. It came on the same day my husband lost his job so you can imagine how excited I was. Thank you all for sharing your stories, because I'm vulnerable enough right now to have actually gone against my gut and paid them! THANK YOU!! How can people be scamming others when our nation is in a time of crisis like this? God Bless

Yes, I too recieved an "important" release of government funds letter. It is a pure scam. Once you call, your identity goes into an info bank and you will start getting all kinds of scams. DO NOT EVER sign your name to any sort of letter about lotteries, funding or free anythings because all the crooks need is your signature to start thier free ride. Believe me...I found out the hard way. I was mailed a check for $4,000.00, the check was drawn on a well known company but the submitter wanted me to cash it and western union half to them and keep the rest. RED FLAG!! I called the company and reported it and they had no idea this was going on. It doesn't just happen to the little people, But we can report things like this.
