Not sure who they represent.

Don't know why they called, no message left either..

I get calls at least twice a week

This company is "Asset Acceptance" --  www.assetacceptance.com

I'm not sure exactly what they do, but I think they work for Collection Agencies trying to get phone numbers verified for people who are in collection. (or something like that) so stay away!

I get calls from this number on my cell phone. Luckily, I have a call blocker program that answers all numbers not in my contacts. My phone doesn't ring and it hangs up on the caller, but it leaves me a record of the call.

I accept no assets!  NO FURTHER QUESTIONS!!  ....good day.

no message...called cell phone...no has that number so it must be robot dialing--search says debt collector...

I received a call from this # on my cell phone that is private. I called this # back and it was for a law office that is specialized in collection. I don't know why they called me.

This is from http://www.assetacceptance.com/.  I called their number (800-545-9931) to get myself off their list, and they verified that I was on their calling list because they were trying to find information about a person who they named for me, which was not me.  When I would not tell them whether or not I knew that person, but only that it wasn't me, they told me that if I'm not going to help them, then they're not going to help me, and hung up.  There was no pretense of customer service whatsoever.

If you have an iPhone, jailbreak it and install iBlacklist. It cost $12.00 but is worth every penny! Any # you add to the BLACKLIST is blocked with a hangup or a busy signal. (your choice). Never get bugged again (or charged) from a$$-holes like these again!

We've been married 42 years and have never been late on a bill and have outstanding credit.  Get a clue, Rupert.  These parasites are calling us for no reason whatsoever.  It has nothing to do with not paying our bills.  They are low-life, scumbags.  End of story.
