They called, but didn't leave message.  I didn't bother calling back.

they call me once a day, but never leave a message. i don't bother calling back.. i just got this number, and haven't given it out to any companies, so i'd like to know how they got my number.

they have called 3 times in 3 days. i don't answer and they hang up before my answering machine starts.

So they just called me and I answered, it was the Dept. Of Veteran's Affairs.  I told them they had the wrong number.  They wanted to discuss some changes or something that had been made within the DVA.

I was left a meesage and was also told they were with the Dept of VA and wanted to inform me of new benefits. My problem is that I am a Veteran, has anyone been called who is not?

If you are a veteran they were calling to let you know that you qualified for the choice program. If you stay 40 miles or further away from your VA you qualify. If you have an appointment over 30 days from the day's date, you qualify. Your number was going to them by the VA. I work for the VA Choice, that's how I know :)

I am a disable Veteran.  I also received a call from the number above.  They were trying to make an appointment for me,  in one of their clinic.  However, I already had an appointment thru the VA system about 2 weeks ago.  Seems that Veteran's Choice Program is a bit slow in connecting with the Veterans.

They're suppose to be Veterans Choice Programs but something suspicious about the way they call and never say anything when you answer - that's exactly how spammers operate.

I just got a call from them, it was the V.A., and they were following up on a P.T. appointment the local clinic needed to set up.  Great work V.A.

They called to set up an appointment with a Chiropractor that VA doctor had authorized.

It's a legitimate call from the Veterans Choice Program.  I just got off the phone with them.  They are authorizing and setting up some physical therapy appointments with someone for me.  If you're a VA patient/client/user and your Doc is setting up some outside help for you, you need to answer this call.  They need some basic information from you to do their job

This number is associated with a company [health net federal services] known publicly to participate in fraudulent medical billing activities as well as false reporting to authorities. These are call center technicians from the bottom of the barrel. Veterans and family members should record every interaction as they are actively engaged in much more than scheduling appointments. Com and opsec should be maintained. Personal information awareness should be observed in all interactions as multiple cases of fraud have been documented and are evident following engagement with this entity.

Legitimate Call, and Veterans Choice Program are not synonymous with each other. Veterans Choice call centers run by health net federal services are about as federal as federal express. They are on record and under investigation as participating in unlawful activity. Use prejudice in every encounter with individuals claiming to be apart of this organization.

Received a call from this number twice.  Each time a lady says that she is from Veterans Choice Program and rolls into "In order for me to authenticate you I need your date of birth!" I told her that I don't know the number, what does this pertain to? The lady says "I can't give you that information until you give me your date of birth!" I say "you called me! I am not comfortable with giving you personal information when random people call asking for it! Tell me what this is in reference to so I know that you're not trying to scam me". She tells me to call my local VA to find out the information and hangs up. Obviously she hasn't worked with military people before!

It is the Veteran's choice program. It's not a scam because I have talked to them once before several times, I'd just forgotten about it and didn't recognise the number when they called again recently. The VA sets up veterans with an outside agency that gets appointments with civilian providers contracted with the VA such as optometry or some type of specialised medical. I had an eye exam, kidney biopsy and a colonoscopy done through the VA choice program so I know for a fact it's completely legit, but if you are concerned call the local VA and have it verified. Usually your VA PCP or specialist lets you know ahead of time that you are being set up through the Choice program before they call.

Got a letter today stating they had tried numerous times to call but were unable to complete the call. I called them and gave them my DOB. They then described the procedure they were contacting me about (MRI) and everything checked out. I was expecting the call and it was long overdue. They said they would have the appointment within a week. Please note 866-606-8198 is legit, and 800-606-8198 is a scam number
