Report a phone call from 866-608-0400 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- RichardI answered the phone and a recorded message requested that I call Tony Vincent at 1-866-608-0400 about an urgent matter
- IngridRecording - Said it was the IRS and needed to discuss an important matter. Left this phone number. This is a company, not a private individual.
- Caller: Did not Say
- DesereeRecording started when I answered the phone. It said to call 1-866-608-0400 about an urgent matter and to ask for Kelly Vincent.
Caller ID says "Private Caller." Not sure if it's them or not, but "Private Caller" has been calling my house as early as 8:00 in the morning. Illegal!- Caller: N/A
- DesereeCalled AGAIN even after I filed a complaint with the FCC. Called before 9 am.
Again, a recorded message, supposedly from the ALS with an "urgent message" to call Kelly Vincent.
I'm reporting them again. - johnfullA recorded message, supposedly from the ALS with an "urgent message" to call Kelly Vincent about a personal business matter.
- GraceThey are ARS - Allied Recovery Service, and have been calling me about someone who lived here 8 YEARS ago!!
I think they slur their message on purpose, so it sounds like IRS.- Caller: ARS Allied Recovery Service
- GeorgeCalled many times to my office direct phone number, says that my number was obtained from the Human Resources. I spoke to human resources and she says that got a call from INS asking for my office direct phone number. I am American Citizen so I called back and was Asset Acceptance. I requested a debt validation in written and refuse to talk any further until I received the debt validation in written. It has never sent to me and the harrasement calls continued at the point that I restrict the incoming calls on my cellular to only those on my phone's contacts. At the office I just hang up as many time they call me.
After a while, it went from few calls per day to one call per month so it is not that bad
1 - I dont provide any information over the phone, not a single piece of information.
2 - They can call as many times they want me to hang up on them
3 - My wife made a payment plan for Capital One on a forgotten account of just $600, she sent a check for $100 and make a payment plan for $100 per month, The next month she owes $700 and when she tried to contact the representative, she got scrambled into a phone trapp that take you anywhere and she were not able to talk to anyone else until she change banks and made them unable to continue taking the money from her account (payment plan [auto payment])..... So, I make no payment plans at all.
4 - The credit story, according to them the account is 5 years old. It will be on my credit file for 5 more years and I am not planning to finance anything else within the next five years
Please, dont get me wrong. If I own somethign I will pay for it and a payment plan sounds good but I want it on writting as a contract because whatever is done over the phone is gone and I dont have any evidence of such agreement. If I own money to the bank X, then why the bank X dont send me a letter offering me a payment plan? On the other hand, if I were not able to pay $100 because I lost my job, how comes I will be able to pay $1000 now?
The whole collection industry works thanks to people who deal with collection agencies. They buy your account for $1 and then attempt to collect $1000 from you.
Just dont deal with them, hang up and dont make any agreement or provide any information over the phone. Deal with the original debtor only, you made an agreement with bank X not with collection agency B. it is up to you.
I have never see the SWATT team arresting a person who were not able to pay for a credit card debt, the credit industry exists and work on that way and many things done by banks are not so legal either such the toxic home loans but I have never see the SWATT team arresting any bank for toxic home loans either so that's the way it works, just hang up and keep on going- Caller: Asset Acceptance
- c76moA recorded message says I need to call Kay Vincent regarding an urgent private business matter at (866) 608-0400. From what I can tell, this company does not abide by Fair Debt Collection Act practices.
I had financial problems 7 years ago. I do not deal with 3rd party collection agencies. They blatantly lie to scare people into paying them money that, in all reality, not only will NOT repair your credit, but will most likely never even be reported as paid. I once had a company mail me a photocopy of an old utility bill with additional handwritten charges on it--can we say scam?!?!?! I called back to speak to someone regarding the validity of their collection attempt, and no one would speak to me; they just kept transferring me & putting me on hold. I was finally able to leave a message, in which I demanded an explanation of how they obtained a 3 year old bill to photocopy, and also a good reason why I shouldn't report them. They never contacted me again.
If you want or are able to pay something you owe, call the company your debt originated with and try to arrange something. If they won't do it, forget it....or file bankruptcy.
