Got a text message telling me to call this number about my data roaming usage on US Cellular.

Texted saying I was over the data usage on my cell..which is not true, it wanted a call back..did not call

Mom and I both got a text from donotreply1@uscellular.com saying we were over on our roaming data and asking for us to call.

My wife got a text saying your us cellular data roaming usage exceeds your terms of service allowance and to call this number.  It's not even the us cellular customer service number!!!!!

Same as above: text saying us cellular data roaming over the limit. Checked account and was well within limit. Did not call the number.

It is a legit message from US Cellular

I just called US Cellular.. because I didn't recognize this number as one of theirs.. and guess what?  Found out this IS one of their numbers, and that we had been ROYALLY SCREWED by changing to the "Unlimited" plan on my daughter's line.  Instead of the HUGE coverage map we HAD with our 6 gb shared plan... they now have a VERY SMALL coverage area.. and the rest of the map is either NOT covered or is listed as a "partner" coverage area.. which means you only get 500 MB.. then they will cut you off... you DO have the option to pay extra for VERY LITTLE additional coverage.   I've been a US Cellular customer for 18 years and have NEVER encountered this type of BS... Needless to say, I will be changing companies.  This is the most insane SCAM I've ever heard of.. When I asked why we had not had this issue before on our 6 GB plan (in the SAME area), I was told that it was because we changed plans .. so they updated the map.  Seriously?
