I called Verizon and they said my account was in good standing and they didnt call. This was the first time I got this call and it came up on the caller ID as unknown. I would like to know who these people are and why they are calling.

I am getting calls from this number repeatedly.  They say they are calling from Verizon Wireless, but I called Verizon and they said my account was fine and they had no record of the call.

They have called my parents house about my account 5 or 6 times in the last week or so..

I called them back and never was able to get anyone on the phone to see what they were about.

This number calls our TracFone about once a week since we got the phone.  We don't answer and did not set up the voicemail on that phone.

I am a Verizon Wireless employee who wishes to remain anonymous for legal reasons. I investigated this extensively for a customer. The number simply is not a Verizon Wireless number at all and the charges that the call claimed were due on the customer's account did not exist on the account in any form. The number identifies itself as Verizon Wireless, but is not. If you get a call from this number, contact Verizon Wireless financial services immediately, let them know what is going on, and make a followup call to the Verizon Wireless fraud department.

Scammer Claiming to be Verizon Wireless

This is Verizon Wireless.  Recently switched to their bundled billing called "One Bill". They screwed up and left part of my bill orphaned when they merged accounts.  Irony is that they owe me $80.18.  They agree that they owe me a credit, but they say that I also owe them $28!  They can't/won't take the $28 out of the $80.18 that they owe me.  Biggest cell phone company in the US and they can't even merge a bill correctly!

BEWARE!  This truly is a fraudulent number!  Call the real Verizon support number at 1 800 922-0204 to confirm this and find out if there really is anything wrong with your account.

This IS verizon attempting to call old expired contract verizon phone #'s.

I receive a call from this number at 8:33AM every other day. No caller ID is shown except, "Toll Free". They don't leave a message and when I do answer, no one is there. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. I am on every no call list out there...lot's of good that does!

I just got a call from 866-614-4404 and I answered it.  It was a recording that they were Verizon Wireless and to please call them at that number.  There is no mention of who they want and I found it strange that a recording was leaving like a message when I answere on the second ring.

I no longer have an account with Verizon, but I have been getting calls from this number everyday for the past week. I have refused to give them my info, they say they won't stop calling till I give them my information.

I, too, am receiving these calls from what is apparently Verizon. They don't answer, just hang on the line.
A telephone company harassing people: go figure. The lamentable part is that I had a Verizon account for exactly 70 hours, returned it in the time specified because I realized I could get a much better deal with Virgin, and have been hassled by Verizon ever since.

I've never encountered a worse company. Ever. If this continues, I'll take legal measures.

I got call from this number everyday. I'm not a Verizon user.
When I call back, some guy hang up and said it is a phone belong to 'Diallo', some one's name.
He said he is sorry to call to wrong number.

tell me something, if it's not Verizon, then why am I getting calls from it after I canceled my account and questioned them about my bill?
Also, does Verizon bill you in advance of using the service or after the month is up and you used the service?
They are trying to bill me for a month I paid

wary, i instead called regular Verizon Wireless customer service using the ph# on their website.  They confirmed the call was a LEGITIMATE call from the financial services department over a bill in "collections."

RECOMMENDATION:  if you've ever had an account with Verizon and you get this call, you should look their number up independently from a "safe" source (e.g. the phone book, their website, etc...).  Inquire about your account because their accounts department is trying to warn you that SOMEthing is wrong and they think you owe them money.

They called and the prerecorded message said they were recording this call. When the woman came on the line her english was not good and she asked to speak to a person who's  name I did not understand and asked her to repeat. Again I could not understand but knew it was not my name. I told her she had the wrong number and she said she would remove my number from their list. She did not identify the company she was with.
