something about buying out credit card account

Says he is Robert and constantly calling with my name as reference. LVS ext, 107 and says proceedings against our co will be started.

No name given just ext. 117 stated the last 4 of a SS# on a voice mail @ my place of work. Called 3 times back to back. Same as above...

They've been calling me here constantly.  Asking for a name that I haven't been for 12 years.  To threaten to have legal action, they have to be ready to follow through.  That is illegal according to the Fair Debt Collection Laws.  Also, any debt that is that old is dead.  If you get something like this that is that old, don't make any payment because it will reactivate the debt.

They go by another name, National Credit works.  Scam. . . they told me over and over that they were going to start legal proceedings. . still waiting.  Lawyer is waiting too!!

Call from this number pertaining to a relative saying that they were a company called NPW Incorporated and was calling regarding a claim that needed immediate attention that day and gave a case number.

I made 100s off calls to them. They are starding to get very irritated with me. Eventually they will give up calling me.

I have received numerous phone calls from this number (too many for my call history to contain) along with other numbers.

I called back and I got the voice mail of "Susan" with National Credit Works (NCW).  This group is calling from all of the following numbers:

I called back the 800-618-5731 number this morning..they addressed me by my name even though I didn't tell it to thm.  I also stated that the name they were calling me isn't a name that I have used for over 13 years.  The woman on the phone then told me I had to call "Ms. Stump" at the 866-377-2028 number.  This is absolutely ridiculous.  

They are also harassing my brother in Florida.  How they got his name is beyond me since I haven't had the same last name as him for over 23 years.  

I find it funny that looking on these posts, I actually found one that I posted over a year ago about this same company.

Do not respond or worry about any call from NCW, National Credit Works, Tell John Licata and Doug Mackinon to F-off! as they are scam artists who try and scare people out of their money. DO NOT BE SCARED OF THEM. They will threaten you will legal action, they will claim an officer is coming to your home to arrest you haha, they will claim they are suing you.....TRUST ME,  they will not and can not do anything to you other than call and be dicks. I have been dealing with NCW for the last year, only because they try and call me every day and my work. I promise you that they have no legal recourse in any way, they have broken every single debt collector rule in the book, they are being investigated by the FBI, report them to you local police, senator, governor, FTC etc.... They will not sue you, nor do they have the legal means to. It is all blank threats to try and sucker scared people into giving them money. DO NOT GIVE THE SCAMMERS A DIME!...JOHN LICATA called me 100 times in one day, telling me the police were coming to my house haha...so I told him I was waiting there all day, lol NOTHING, a year later all I get are phone calls, so I changed my number, and my work number and my boss even told them to go F-off! haha...so I got a pre paid cell phone and I harass them back. I call them 200 times a day, yelling and screaming curse words at them just to F with them like they F with me ahha.....please don't take NCW so seriously, it's a joke of a company and they will not ever do anything to you!!!! JOHHNY BOY LICATA and DOUG the FREAK MACKINON will burn in hell soon! or get raped in jail for fraud and illegal debt collecting threats!

My name is Barry and I also had a Payday loan that I did not pay from 2007. I got calls from a NCW National Credit Works at my job and they left messages at my In Laws. I had read blogs from this site and others and did not respond to the calls. I should have responded, because now I must appear to answer to checks that bounced to the payday loan company and an attorney froze my bank account. I'm sure that there are some collection scams out there, but I actually had a loan that I did not pay and I should have done something to pay it off. I thought that I could not get into trouble for something so long ago, but I guess it is because I used my banking info to get the loan. I am pissed and All of my bills are bouncing...I just wanted everyone to know, that if you had a loan, it is Not a Scam and don't let all these other blogs about not paying the money back get you into the situation that I'm in!!!!!!!

I have gotten numerous calls from NCW about an old payday loan threatening to file a felony complaint against me.  I have asked them for their website and they say they don't have one.  I have also asked them to send me something in writing and they never have.  They wait another week or two and call again and want me to give them a credit card number that day to settle this.  Do they think I am stupid, I wouldn't give anyone my credit card number.  Then they wait another week or two and call again to settle this.  I don't have a phone so they call my mother.  She got on the phone and told them to never call her number again and they still do.  I believe they are scammers also.  I called the Attorney General's in New York where they said they were located.  Who else can I report them to?  doris0986@aol.com

I wish I had done some research before I sent NCW money. I had my identity stolen and have an affidavit of identity theft. When I received a call from Mr. Hughes at NCW ext 107 and explained that to him, he stated that unless some payment was received, the attorneys were going to start pursuing theft of services charges, and a bunch of other bad check type charges the next day, weather or not I had the ID Affidavit & police report. I sent $100 that day and made a payment arrangement for the rest. I sent $367.00 the following week and was supposed to send $349 today. I called and spoke with Mr.McAllister at ext 102 and told him I wouldn't be sending any more money, I had spoken with an attorney and was advised that I shouldn't have paid any of the money, that as soon as I said I was the victim of ID theft, they should have asked for the Affidavit and police report and stopped the calls. He started screaming at me about how I'd rot in jail...blah blah blah. In any case, I'm reporting all of the phone calls to the AG's office. AND the principal on the pay day loan was $350. I paid $150 last July and $185 last October directly to the pdl place, plus what I paid in March--the $100 + $367 to NCW...I'd say I've paid it off. In any case, these people are horrible. I wouldn't give them a DIME if you haven't already.  I have to add that the ONLY reason I made any kind of payment is because my employer has a good morals clause and if they had contacted my employer and mentioned pressing charges, I could loose my job, much less actually take me to court.  It scared me!  Don't send money though!

I've been getting calls from this # and I just ignored it because it was a strange message and I don't owe anyone any money.  I got tired of them calling me so I called them back to see what the deal was and get them to quit calling me.  Turns out they weren't even looking for me, it was a relative.  I gave them his home # and they asked for a cell # but I told them out of respect for his privacy I wouldn't give out that much info.  Then the man on the phone said, "What's so top secret about his cellphone number??" Haha.  Being rude like that is going to get you nowhere.  I told him I did my part now they can try reaching him instead of harassing me.  He's lucky I gave him that much information! I will definitely let him know not to send money to these people.  I would never pay a credit collector personally.  I would rather ask who they are collecting for and call the actually company myseld and make payments directly to them.  At least you will know it's legit.

This company is calling my cell phone everyday!! I looked up the company and found out that this is a scam to get money out of you!  I'm not paying them anything!
