a message is left once or twice a day, exactly as spam describes above - started in french and asking me to call back.

yeah same here then after that it gives a reference number. suggesting that its probably a collection agency of some sort

This number is from a collection agency NCO Financial Services Inc. They reported I owed Paypal money. I simply sent a registered letter to their head office asking to have this dept challenged in court.  Calls stopped shortly afterwards.

this is a collection agency, in my case working on behalf of ATB financial in calgary, alberta.

A lady who can hardly speak english or be understoood named sylvia left me a voice mail. Of course, i aint going to call back!

I received the same call as stated above asking me to call back urgently with a referrence number.  I've been left messages by two different people calling me two different names.  Ofcourse I will also not be calling back.

its a collection agency. They constantly harass me over a matter in which i was the victim. Keep in mind im a 20 year old male simply trying to continue my education.

I told them several times to take it to court and stop harassing me. They continue to leave threats claiming i will be arrested if i do not pay.

Paypal related collections agency

Years ago I owed Paypal a small amount of money. A collection agency called me, told me the amount (less than $200) and I sent them a cheque. Soon after they called me back and told me that the amount they told me was in U.S. dollars, and my cheque was in Canadian. I said, all right, it wasn't my fault, but I'd send them the difference, which was about $20, but they told me not to bother, that it wasn't worth it for them, so I said fine with me. I can only assume that now this company is calling me about that $20 that I was told NOT to pay several years ago.

The only reason I'm going into detail about this is I tried to call back to tell them all this and they NEVER ANSWER. There's nobody there when they call me, and when I call the number provided, nobody answers.

dont call them even if you owe them money, they are the biggest scammers!

Annoying automated message

Just called these guys, spoke to someone named Janifer. Before calling, I googled the phone number and found this page. I asked her where I was calling, and if it is a collection agency, she rudely said NO!. I told her that I just googled the phone number before calling and that there are a lot of complaints in regards to the collection agency she is working for. Again, being very rude she raised her voice and said "This is not of your business!" this matter is for someone else, Good bye!

so yea.. this is my story :)

WE have been receiving the same call from the same number.  If a caller won't leave their name or ask for a specific individual, I am not going to call them back.  There are too many scams out there.

This number (8666233584) has been calling me 20 times a day for the last few months blocking there number and today they left the second voice mail with the number and i called and it was Janifer and she was rude and telling me not to speak and to listen to her and was asking for someone i never heard of and she said that i was lieing. i told her not to call me and she said that they would investigate my number and keep calling. she then said there is noting more to talk about and i hung up on her before she said anything els.

Yeah, these people are not intelligent enough to get a real job.  Tell them where to go, specifically, "stick their head where the sun doesn't shine".  See if those dumb [***] can figure that one out.

I am getting three calls a day from this number.  It rings once then disconnects.  (It does this three time in a row)  I try to pick it up and if I get it in time the call just drops.  It is a collections call, but I have learned to deal with collections people.  I made mistakes when I was younger, and paying them now will not help anything. I am going to sign this number and email up for every SPAM thing I can find. Screw them!

This is an automated service through NCO, a collection agency.  Do not try and get an answer by calling them ,,, I tried 5 times, waiting 1/2  with no answer. Instead call NCO at 1-866-545-9262. I did and actually talked to a nice young man who was very helpful. He checked the ref # and informed me that the amount had been paid in full and he didn't know why they had been calling. He informed me that he was in a different department than the number left on those annoying messages.  He also mentioned some other accounts under my phone number but the accounts where under someone else's name. He did two things;

1. Processed a stop call notice

2. Removed my phone number from the delinquent accounts in someone else's name.

Hope this helps,  I also strongly suggested that he let his manager know about the problems that I was having trying to contact 1-866-623-3584 and told him to tell the manager to google the number and take a look at the complaint posted. I also told him that this type of "service" does nothing for NCO's reputation.

I had the same problem.  I called the number 866 545-9191  explaiined the situation answered one question and was placed on the no call list.  Hesaid the calls would stop in 24-48 hours.  WE SHALL SEE!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep getting calls from this number, and only get part of a message left with a reference number to call back with.  If it is Pay Pal, then it probably is the same scam that was pulled on my boyfriend.  Money dumped into his account by someone, then taken out, then something charged to the account making my boyfriend supposedly accountable for the charges.  He hasn't used Pay Pal in a long time and is not going to pay for their screw up in letting someone hack their system.
