Called 5 to 8 times a day EVERY day. We never answer our phone directly anymore due to preditory caller like this. Our answering machine apparently does nothing to discourage them. Will they every stop?

same thing...calls and when you pick up they hand up. Call the # and they claim to be Outreach Assoc calling on behalf of a chairy...which is not believable and that they want you to leave your info as they do not have caller id. I have reported this number to the FTC>

I get this number calling all day long.  At least four times a day.  The numbers change too, so I think its various lines, but there is never anyone on the other end, and it ties up our phone so we can't use it for about five minutes.

Same as above.  This number or a variation calls at leaset 3 to 4 times a day with no one on the other end.  I called it back and a recording says it is the "donor services line for Outreach Associates."

How can this be stopped?

I asked them to get me off their computer and said if they didn't I'd start contacting the charities that employ them (they take about 64% of the proceeds before giving the charity a cut).

They keep calling and do not leave a message.

These people are driving me nuts!!!!

This number (along with the others this company uses) has been calling multiple times a day for MONTHS! I never pick it up because my general rule is I have caller ID for a reason and if I don't know the name or number, we have nothing to talk about. I took the advice of a post on another complaint forum that gave a call-back number 1-866-559-1444. So I called it and told them to take me off their list. The guy at the other end took my number and said it would be removed. We'll see....

I was called by this number. They are Direct Advantage Marketing - they provide "telefundraising services for cultural, political, and environmental organizations."
The call I received was on behalf of Consumer Reports magazine who I donate to regularly.

Received a call about 1 p.m. today from this 1-866-634-6128 number. The person calling said that they were from Consumer Reports, thanked me for past donations (what donations?), and wanted a pledge of $25 today.

Call 2 to 3 times a day.  I've called the number back and never got a response.  Today, I got a recording saying they were "Outreach Associates" a non-profit fund raising association. I understand they are exempt from the do not call program.  Were care givers for aging parents and really don't need these phone call's.

I called 866-559-1444 and asked them to remove my number; the woman told me who was calling me on their behalf (DNC) and said she'd remove my number. She was polite and I could hear her typing my number in as I said it to her, so I'm hopeful the calls (MANY MANY MANY every day, via several different numbers) will stop. It helps to be polite when you call them ...

Same story as everyone else on here--multiple (sometimes up to 5) per day!.  I called 1-866-559-1444 and spoke to someone who was able to pull up my name and phone number and an associated charity that I've supported in the past.  Apparently Outreach Associates is hired to do fundraising for many many non-profits.  It seems legit, though definitely annoying.

I asked to be removed from their calling list and the person I spoke to was very kind and accomodating.  Haven't gotten a call since.

I managed to ignore the first umpteen times this number came up.

This was one of those calls that seems to take forever to respond once you say "hello." Some yokel with cotton in his mouth wanted to speak to my husband, "a political call." UGH again.

I told them not to bother "calling back at a more convenient time." Fat chance, I know.

I found them pretty easy to deal with. Contacted them directly and asked to be added to their do not call list and it seemed to have worked. No calls yet and it has been months.

This call is coming in multiple times a day one right after the other.  It was NPR I donated once and now they never leave me alone.

The've called...AGAIN. We didn't pick up, though. What part of "no" didn't these bozos understand the LAST time my husband spoke to them?!?

Yet AGAIN. The only reason the call got taken this time is b/c the 4-y/o beat me to the phone and actually picked it up. They asked for my husband, AGAIN. He didn't want to talk to them before, what makes them think he wants to talk to them now??? SHEESH!
