I have a credit card with BOFA, that is late, and it is them calling for a payment.

Calls start at 5:30 a.m. and repeat several times during the day.  Computerized voice identifies itself as Bank of America and says it would like to inform me "of an important change in my account status".  It asks me to verify my identity and account information.  Fat chance!

Of course, when I called Bank of America directly, they said there was no change to my account status or problems with my account, and they denied having any association with the phone number in question.  I informed their fraud department because it seems they'd like to know that their identity is being impersonated, but they seemed unconcerned.

This is Bank of America. The change on the status of your account is due to suspending your credit until payment is made.

I don't have a bank of america card.  I paid off all my credit card debt and don't even have a credit card anymore.  only thing I can think of is wachovia sold my debt somehow back when I had it and I paid wachovia and they just pocketed it.

They are people trying to steal ur money. Not bank of America!! Tell them to [***] off and loose ur #

I hate Bank of America and Chase!  B of Am called again this morning and did not leave a message.

This is why I will not use large banks or have credit cards ever again!

The call went something like this: This is Bank of America calling with an important message for Debra Holster... If you are Debra Holster press 1 now, if we called you in error press 2. So I pressed 2 another automated voice comes on "Thank you for calling BOA this call may be recorded, please hold" then a man picks up the phone "This is (XYZ) thank you for calling BOA, how can I help you? My answer was "for the record you called me and I'm not the person you are looking for please stop calling"...  silence on the other side. The calls kept on coming numerous times a day after that and nobody picked up on the other side. I blocked all their numbers: 814-234-7699,626-666-6754,469-201-4312,716-656-6677,888-283-9087 Now I'm getting calls from local numbers and nobody answers on the other side (spoofing?) I declared bankruptcy a couple of years ago after giving them every penny I had. By law they are NOT to call! This is extremely upsetting and  depressing for me I'm 60 years old living day by day and they are putting me thru hell allover again. I can't afford a lawyer and I don't know how to fight them. Does anybody know how to handle this?
