i got a call from this number, what is it? supposedly a debt collector.. yet i don't owe anything, as far as my credit report is concerned.. nothing listed.. where do they get my number? anyone else?

I received a message from this number too, stating from Infield Financial, a debt collecting company. I don't have any debt that I am aware of either. Strange.

I received a call from this number for the first time today.  The message they left said they're NCO Financial Systems and that they're a debt collector with the usual disclaimer about information collected will be used to collect a debt ... blah, blah, blah

Here's the bizarre thing.  They had legit information from an unpaid speeding ticket out of state-knew my name, address, verified my last 4 of social.  they almost got my money by "threatening" comments.  fortunately, i thought it was strange i hadnt received anything in the mail and did NOT give him money.  Though, i did try to call back the next day and got voicemail for clayton or carlton williams.  This is scary because this scammer has somehow gotten REAL information.  REPORT it if it happens to you so we can catch this guy!

After speaking with my ID protection company, I called NCO back. The collection agency was looking for someone else. I told her that I was not that person and didn't know anyone with that name. She immediately said she would flag my number for the do not call list. We'll see.

I don't know if it's a scam or not but I have almost 20 calls from them on my home phone in 3 weeks, so I called them and they said they were looking for someone who has never lived here. (We've had this number for 12 years)  If you are part of the Do Not Call Registry please go report them there.  They will get into trouble for harassing the wrong people.  Debt collectors are allowed to call you but they are supposed to know who the heck they are calling.  If we've had this number for 12 years there is no excuse.

It seriously only takes about 90 seconds to report them.  If everyone did that, they may get in trouble and stop doing this.

Called 3x today, but I don't answer 800 numbers. No other info on Caller ID. On another site they are listed as a grade "F" debt collection agency - NCO financial. Don't answer.

How do you report this

Someone keeps calling and asking for Crystal Fisher. I don't know who that is. It's been once or twice a year the past 3 years. But now it's 3-4 times a week! at 5 or 6 a.m.! They won't believe me when I say I have no knowledge of someone with that name. I've had this phone number for 12 years. They are downright threatening. "You need to take responsibility for your actions!"

Wouldn't hurt to post the website for the do not call number if you know it.  
I've been debt free and clean up for years, I checked my credit reports, I'm clear.  All of a sudden I get the same thing, they call in me almost  daily, they call me while I'm working. in meetings, in the morning evening, etc.
These idiots a NCO never stop calling.

This caller called me while i was talking on the phone, and once more a few days later while i was in the shower. I have no idea who this is, and i want it to end, because i was threatened by a different number, and as far as i know this is a debit or whatever collecter. I am too young to even have any! Haha!

Just got a message from Lynn Edwards - a collection agency. Message didn't ask for a particular person but asked to call back. This is scary.  My bills are not behind.  I'm good in paying my bills.  Someone has to be able to catch these guys.  Recording was female voice.

I've been getting calls from this number for the past few weeks.  I do not answer the calls and the caller leaves a voice message.  The message to me is they are a debt collector and I must call them back immediately or else.  The messages get nastier with later calls.  Can't these creeps be put out of business?  I signed on for "Do Not Call Register" long ago and it doesn't appear to do any good for this caller.  Can the local phone company block these calls if requested?

I got a call from a Portland Oregon  number (9713022805) The man called himself Eric Masters saying I was over payed on a pell grant and needed to pay the extra. We are fine paying but we don't have a huge income so it would be around 10 or 20 dollars a month sent through a money order in the mail we are fine with that but he kept saying they would only take payments of 116 dollars through a credit or debit card. we tried explaining the 20 was fine but our income is a set balance ($750per month) no extra no credit cards or bank accounts hidden so the money we said was our most we could afford and wouldn't hurt us but he kept bringing the 116 dollar amount up and told me the would  not accept the physical 20 dollar money order and brought the 116 dollar payment once again so we were really fed up with him and ended the call.    Who declines monthly payments and tells us we'll be taken to court? lol

These are the numbers he gave us three different numbers and locations besides Utah where we live and received the pell grant.

PO Box 17123 Willmington Delaware 19850  is the address he gave when I wanted to save the 20 dollars and when it grew to 120 dollars I would mail it in but he told they only take a prepaid debit card or credit payment.

What's really weird is when the call first came it was from a woman collecting a debt for a municipal court in Phoenix Arizona for the exact same amount the pel grant was "overpaid" I have never been to Arizona she told me she had the wrong account then connected me to Eric Masters (I forgot the woman called because it was brief and uneventful ) Please beware of calls from Portland Oregon, Delaware and Arizona   these are the places we got our calls from.
