wouldn't say who they were or what they wanted.

wanted me to call back "Immediately." Did not state why.

Thought this was a scam, but upon checking they are a legit debt collector. It was about a mixup from a service I had availed myself of. They called and left a message on my recorder saying her name is Whitney and she said my name correctly. Said if it's not me, hang up. This call will be recorded. Said she's from TCI calling about the debt I owe them. Didn't say with whom. Thought that was dumb. I never heard of this company and have no debt. My caller ID said the number she called from was (334) 652-5065 but the number she wanted me to return the call was toll free (866) 652-6500 X. 1247.  I called the 334 number and eventually got through to Whitney. She said the debt was from such and so who provided my service. Now I am again following up to straighten this out.
