I'm getting multiple calls from this number

My  family is receiving multiple phone calls from this number.  They are threatening to take me to jail.  

Called 3-4 times week of 12/9/13 and left messages at home on my answering machine.  Also called mom and left messages on her answering maching.  Telling me someone was coming to my job or home to serve me with papers and that "I have been served."  Also received a call from my HR department saying that they were coming to "serve me with papers" and that I should call them to see what's going on.  Woman on phome was very rude, wanted to verify the last 4 of my ss #, which I wouldn't unless she told me the original creditor, amount, and so on as I am allowed to have.  She said that has already been sent to my home.  NOT!  Kept interrupting me and wouldn't ever attempt to listen.  All she said was that she couldn't help me at this moment and then just hung up.  Needless to say, I'm still waiting for them to come over here.  The company is "Goldstein & Associates" and they also provided me with a file number.  So, PLEASE don't even call them and if you answer the phane and it's them, DON'T VERIFY ANYTHING!  It's up to them to do that under the FDCAP and they know this.  They will try to tell you that they sent it or they emailed it to you and to check your spam folder.  Don't give in to these crooks!!!!

This number just called my mom's house for my husband and left a message about being from an investigator's office.  Gave a document # and that he has one opportunity to respond. Don't respond to these people.  They are phishing for your information.  

I called the number and spoke to Jeff who said he was looking for Patricia (not my husband's name), when i started questioning him he was very rude.  When I told him that the message didn't say for Patricia, he said that was a mistake and asked for my husband.  I told him I work at a collection agency and that I was not verifying anything, he told me he would just send the papers to my house and good luck in court.

They also use the number 408-300-9426 .They.have called and left me messages both at work and at home about an alleged debt that I have. Their tone is threatening and they use pseudo-legal language. I will not respond to any threat.

Just got a call from this number claiming to have paperwork that needs to be served, so of course I start asking questions, that they don't have answers to! What a surpris. THIS IS A SCAM!!! First of all a process server or private investorgator would never call you before they serve you "court ordered paperwork" . This is a debit collection agency, they will not serve paperwork, or take you to court, they have no legal ability to place a judgement or freeze your bank account or garnish your wages. Do not fall into there trap, they will give you an outrageous balance owed, one that they probably have added a couple dollars too, they come up with your estimated court judgement off the top of their head. These people have a goal every month that they need to meet so than can bonus, trust me, this is a scam. Sincerely a previous collector!!!

I got a call from these @$$ holes as well.  Or should I say my relatives did. The funny thing about all this is,..my father and I have the same name,...and he's been gone for over 35 years!!!!  I've been gone from the city for over 40!!!!  So I'm guessing they were trying to contact him!!! LoL!!

Just recieved a call from these scumbags, they also called my sister. I can't believe how rude they are. I asked them for there exact billing address and what state they were in, the man just kept asking me why I wanted to know that info. I told them I needed to give it to my attorney. What they do is completely illegal, all you have to do is call they AG. In their state. They legally can't contact your family, they use skip tracing tools such as tlo, CBC, and accurint. Once they enter your ssn it pulls up all your address, phone numbers, relatives , and places you have worked. So they just start going down the list and leavin messages on everyone's phone. I love the fact that they think they are really scarring someone into believing any of their bs. Nobody calls you before they serve you a legal subpoena . Such a bunch of BS

Called my employer and left a message with them. They use both 866-666-4947 and 408-300-9426. This time the caller was "Kim". I will see what legal actions can be taken to stop this harassment.

I received a call from these crooks on December 31 with a message about a claim against my father who passed away 9 months ago. I didn't answer the call as it said private caller. Left a claim # and said I was notifed and papers would be served. I received another cell phone call from them again today but again did not answer and when it went into the answering machine they hung up. Do not return any of their calls or answer the phone this just spurs them on. If they have a legtimate collection you will receive something in the mail. The first message sounded very threatening from a tough voiced male.
