Call came from 800-405-1806, caller ID showed: "Blue Cross Blue".  The message stated: "Please return this important call to 866-670-1467" and "If you do not want any more calls, please call 866-670-1467 to be removed from the list".

THIS IS AN OBVIOUS TELEMARKETING CALL.  Apparently it is from some "add on" company and not the real Blue Cross Blue Shield trying to sell additional insurance.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK -- calls to toll free numbers can not block your caller id and you will just be giving them your name -- and NEVER PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO CALLERS.  If it's legitimate YOU call the company at a number YOU know is valid.

THIS IS A TELEMARKETING SALES CALL!!!  THESE ARE SHARKS BEWARE!!!

It is Anthem Blue Cross and it's their wellness dept calling to make sure you are seeing doctors on a regular basis.  If you return the call you may opt out so they will not call you again.

I just called and got the full run down.  

It IS actually anthem blue cross. They called me once and left a message. I google search the number and get scared since people said is a scam. So I called anthem's number from the back on my card, and said someone from this number called me.  She put me on hold to give this number a call. After a few minutes, she said there's nothing wrong with my account. They just calling to make sure that I've seen a doctor in regular basis.

Since when does health companies call on a Saturday afternoon this is obviously a scam since I have received another 866 toll-free number claiming they were Anthem when you call back they do not say they are anthem but another company , this is a scam has been blocked blocked and reported

Not a scam.  I answered and it is Anthem Blue Cross Wellness department making sure you are taking prescribed meds with no adverse cost or side effects and seeing doctor on regular basis and to check current on flu shot and other recommendations.

Received call from 866-670-1467 and they left a message saying they were from Anthem and to call them back to discuss preventative care options I might have available to me. I called the member number on the back of my Anthem card to see if this was a light call and the representative told me that NO ONE from Anthem had called me. They don't generally call members, especially about updates to benefits - they would either email or send a letter in the mail. THIS IS A SCAM/PHISHING CALL! DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

1 866 670 1467- many, many calls in the same day- does not leave a message.  When I called the number the woman would not identify the company.  Her answer was they were "different names in different states".  She continued to attempt to get my name and birth date... I refused as she would not answer my questions about her company or their location.  I called my member services person by the number on the back of the card- she could not find that this number was associated with BC/BS outreach program.

I called Anthem Blue Cross who, after 10 minutes, came back on the line and confirmed that these people are indeed associated with Blue Cross.  Whew!
