I have been getting calls from 1/866-674-0156 for several months.Today there were three within about 8 minutes. I do not answer any more. I did once and told the man that this is my phone # & I have had it for several years & who he wanted was not me. He appologized, I still get called.

Every day, two, maybe three times.  No one is there.  Always hangs up.

I get these calls at least 2 times a day. I just ignore them. but They'll persistant. It's not even for anyone that lives here.

I answered and noone was there. They have called several times and never leave a message.

I got this and it identified it as FMS whatever that is.The message says it is not a sales call, but when you call it, it doesn't do anytthing.

FMS is Financial Management Services, a debt collection company that also says that it does market research. It's located in Tulsa, OK and its toll-free # is 888-877-4235. If you DO owe money that's been referred for collection, they can call you, until you tell them to stop calling-then, they usually take you to court. If you DON'T owe the money, simply tell them that you are not the debtor and that you dispute the accuracy of their information. Once a debt is disputed, the company has to comply with certain debt collection laws that include stopping the calls while it's being investigated. If the investigation shows that it's not you, they must stop calling you. The problem is that some collection companies just sell the account to another company without telling them that your number is a bad number. Then, the calls start all over again and you have to go through the same thing until someone notes on the account that its a bad number.

I've been getting those calls too.  My caller ID shows unavailable with the number 800.580.7611 however the recording is for FMS Inc. with a callback number of 866.674.0156.  My research brought up the same information that the person before me put down.  I get those calls 1-3 times a day and I know we are current on all payments.  It's very annoying.

added note:  I just called their consumer help desk at 1-800-580-7611 and they answered promptly and I told them I would like to be removed from their calling list.  They confirmed that the name they were calling for did not live at my address and said that they would take me off the list immediately.  We'll just see if it happens.

I called the 1-800 number in Sondra's comment and they were very fast and polite and removed the number immediately...we'll see if it works.

Very annoying to receive so many calls from these people. Have added my # to the Do Not Call list but it hasn't stopped these people.

We receive calls from this number: 1-866-674-0156, numerious times.  We would like to know why doesn't the FTC or another Govermental agency doesn't put a stop to these lawbreakers!

yeah when I told them that they were harassing me I told the douche how many times he had called my phone and he told me I was lying... I mean he straight up told me that there was no way their company would call that many times.  I got four in one freaking day!

telling them you have a call log of how many times they call is one way to shut them up but they will still keep calling even when told wrong number then they stop for a while then they start up all over again just let a machine answer a machine
the only solution is for a person to be driven so mad by them that their offices get shot to pieces or blown up and the jury acquits due to mental defect caused by the harassment from these morons

They called me as well and after I spoke with Craig (very rude), I spoke with Tammy and got it all cleared up, as it was not me they were after.  We'll see if they call back

unfortunately all technology (ie cphones) will lead to the demise of mankind.  this small technological marvel is one thing i use othewise it's luddite all the way for me.  if you look up rense 's blog and read about RFID verichips you wont worry too much about phones for long   I wrote a 35 page university paper for my privacy class against them-the govt has issued an acutal patent called tracking people I viewed it! and it mentions imbedding chips in peoples brains and uterus and no this is not a crank post I am an A student with researchable proof   all this to say we must outsmart these tresspassers into our life  (the govt wont fix this phone thing soon so i just dont respond or mute till they stop ringing-unfortunate but until there is a bill passed this will go on; in the interim i dont spend much time near my phone and read voraciously  blackwater anyone? the nine? little pink house?  leave tech alone for awhile and you will see it does not have to control you   namaste all

These calls are coming from FMS, Inc.  They are a collection agency.

They've called me 3 times today, after the 3rd time, I called the number back, they wanted me to call another number, which would charge be around $4....

It is a collection agency for the government.  They are after the people whom I bought my house from 2 years ago.  These people happen to live right down the street from  me.  After 6 phone calls from from FMS requesting I give them my information, I asked them to use their technology and maybe GOOGLE the sales record of my house and they would see the people they are looking for no longer live here.  I left a note on neighbors door asking them to deal with it.  They didn't so I gave them the guys work phone.  He owns his own business and has it plastered all over his vehicles. Problem/solution.
