It appears to be a sham from the Tidewater area of Virginia. A check return place

Called from an unavailable number with a "notice that sometime in the next 24 hours someone will be serving me with some kind of paperwork requiring my signature at either my place of residence or quite possibly my place of employment".  They then gave the number 866-676-2361 as CCI for me to call back.
I don't believe process servers pre-notify when they are going to serve you.  I tried to google CCI but wasn't able to find anything definitive.  

This number is calling on out of statute payday loans. They cannot serve you not collect these balances legally. Please do not pay them. They are on violation of FDCPA 95-109 which governs collector's.

It's a scam because debts are out of statute. Report to BBB and file a complaint!!

I first got a call from a guy who claims he was with the attorney general of Ohio and that he is suppose to come to my home which he had my address and name to hand me a summons to appear in court. I asked him what it was about and he said here is the number 1-866-676-2361. case number 825132. He goes you need to call them to find out info on the summons. When he called it said unknown caller. So I call the 1-866-676-2361 and the lady got my folder and came back and she did not give her name. she said it was a cash advance place back in 2006 I got when I worked at Walmart in Fairfield. She said it is for the amount of 427.25 and the other was at another cash advance place the amount of 885.75 with interest. She asked if I had anyone to help pay for this I said no. I am in a worker comp case. then said very nasty I guess you don't want to take care of this. I told her I had told them back in 2006 I had became homeless and as soon as I work I would pay them that was at those to cash places .She then told me since I can't pay for them then when I go to court It can end up costing 3000.00 to 4000.00 to pay back. She said I would be better off to pay the 2 small amounts I told her I could not and she said again well you will be summons to court to have this taken care of. the guy who called his phone number came up unknown caller I had someone call me from Attorney General before and the name came up Attorney General and there phone number. Is this a scam I want to know.

Received a call that I would be served a summons to be in court within 24 hrs if I did not settle a payday loan that was from 2002..it was already paid back then but they say it was not and Advance America is filing a charge of breach of contract- her name is Gloria Clark and the call was transferred to her at ext 106- she said she is calling from NY and could not give the address but will send a letter and if my payment doesn't go thru It will cost me in the thousands !! She said she was with the government but she was also from Check/Credit Reporting Incorp...Is this for real?

I REPORTED 866-676-2361 AND 202-417-2021 TO THE FBI TODAY!

Every year I get a call from 866-676-2361 or some other number claiming that I owe money for the Cash Store and that they are sending a summons etc. if I do not pay right away. About 3 years ago, I fell for it as they had my SS # and stated the 'Cash Store' which I had used MANY years ago and had paid (or so I thought), so I paid them money and they stated they would send me a letter..I never received it, even after I called them again about it. Since then, I have received calls each year at the same time until I call them back and give them a piece of my mind. I told them last yr if they called again I would report them. (He never called again). I received a call a couple weeks ago and I told them I was reporting them to the FBI. She sent me an email stating that the 'debt' had been paid. I still have this copy. I received another call today from 202-417-2021. An automated message stating that I had until the end of the day to pay for bank/check fraud. I did not call them back and suspect that if I do, they will again be claiming I owe money to the 'Cash Store'. I am sick and tired of these calls. I have checked the number online and all the results state they are all scams. At any rate, I do NOT owe any money and I want these calls to STOP. I would appreciate any information you can give me about how to deal with these idiots and would appreciate that you take some legal action as well to stop this harassment. They called me today at 3:55 asking me where am at. Then said his name is Tom Jackson and I owe a pay day loan and they had the last four digits of my ss#. They said I would have to pay through a bank account
I said I don't have an account and they said I can pay using a prepaid card. They also threatened to see.court papers a t my work or residance.

I decided to Google this # and now glad I know they are scam.artist and hope they get caught.

Oh my God this happened to me today this phone number from 866-676-2361 this people call me from the have  no# number and they give me this a866 number. this lady said to me if I received some paper in the mail and she say they have all pending lawsuit against me from some payday loan and they say I needed to call this number and she gives me at case number and the case number was totally wrong from my county from my city and And  I call the 866 number and this is what she said to me she say the police was comming with some paper they I needed to sign in she give me a case number case number don't much with my County city and I told the is wrong . she say we can  prosecutor you in a week you need to take care that and I say well I guess I see you in court and Iwas, thinking and I did cry because I stupid giving my last Social Security number and then she gave me wrong employer and address I have not living in address for the 11 year I don't know who these people be where people beware out there take care yourself I'm still waiting for the police to show up in this address

Okay this is what you need to do IRRITATED, you need to contact all the credit bureaus you need to report that to the police station if  thy have taking any money from you, you need to report to the attorney general from your state.number two you need to left that.phone call goes to your voicemail do not answer the phone calls don't matter what is coming out of her mouth I spoke to the police because this happened to me the police say say what ever comes in your mind I guess this scams going a lot in people not spoken the mine you can call  news report any  radio station and get the word out put in Internet Facebook had give the number to all your friends and friends in things have been called them cost them out 866 676 2361 every minute they you can,, that is the only way you can have them to go away Take care yourself you not the only evicted in this matter I'm addicted to . They have called me 3 times and my daughter now has my old cell number so she answered and they threatened to pick  her mom (me) up from my residence if I did not call and pay. I wish they would come on my property and threaten me. This is crazy!

I would say yes all legal matters when filed get filed with the court  and the legal documents come directly from the court the only time a summons is usually issued is in criminal matters and sometimes divorce cases. Do not pay them also ask for validation of the debt   always everything owed is on your credit report

Hello patrick I got a call at 35 pm with the same company. It is a scam do not verify any information with them

They clamed i will owe $1700 after cort fees and she sed she is a cort clerk and needs me to sine sum forms to sumit to the cort and she had a docit number to

I would recommend contacting www.collectionbully.com and let them know how these guys have been harassing you and your daughters. You have rights and these type of guys know the law but often times don't care.

I got a call from these guys, whom I had never heard from ever before. The original call came from a "No Caller ID" number. I didn't answer, but they ended up leaving a message. The ladies name on the voice message was Nadine Harrison, she mentioned...
"I am a process server in _________ county. I have a summons here I am scheduled to deliver out to you by end of the business day today. I was just calling to get a good time, I'll need two forms of ID and a signature before I can release these documents. I do have a phone number and case number in case you have any questions concerning these legal matters. The phone number is 866-676-2361 and your case number is ________. Thank you"

I called them back and they had my name and last 4 of my social security number. They then mentioned some people that I knew and a company that I had worked for a while back. I denied all the information except for my name and last 4 of my social. The lady that provided me the information never gave me her name but mentioned that she was trying to collect from a Pay Day Loan location and that I had broken the contract. The original amount was for $373 back in 2003, even provided me a check number that they claimed I had written out for but had written a bad check on an account that had been closed. They said the amount had gone up to $600+ fee's. I told them I didn't know anything about this.

Her tone completely changed to, "well it sounds like we are not going to get anywhere with you today, so we will go ahead and move forward with the lawsuit and judgement against you. You will be paying more then likely over $3,000 to get this taken care of and warrant for your arrest. We have character witnesses as well, along with video footage showing you going into the location."

After hanging up with them, I ended up going to collectionbully.com and someone called me right back. Told them the whole story and the lady mentioned that this "Check Credit Reporting" company is a fraud and scam company and they have received many complaints from them. The information that they verified will not cause me any problems and to just ignore them and they will eventually realize that they won't be able to collect any money from me and stop calling. The person from Collection Bully mentioned going to econsumer.org and ic3.org to fill out a complaint form about this company. She also mentioned that if at any point you had ever done a Pay Day Loan, your information is more then likely in some sort of database that they are calling from.

If you get called from this number, company or any representatives, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY!!!!!! IT'S A SCAMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! Hope this helps anyone else that comes across them.

I just got home and heard this message stating that I need to call 866-676-2361 and that she had the last 4 digits of my social. I tried calling but it states, the mailbox is full n hangs up. She gave me a case number. I'm doing research and everything I find says it is a scam.

I received a call from an unknown number from a girl named Cassandra stating I going to be receiving a summons and gave me 866-676-2361 to call with a "docket" number. Cassandra would not give me her number  to reach her. When I called I was informed it was a cash advance from 2003 that I had already paid off. Angela from the 866-676-2361 number stated unless i had paperwork proving I paid it off I would be taken to court and said the cash advance company would try and get me for more money. When I asked how much she stated roughly 2,000.00 more. So, Angela puts me on hold and comes back and says they are willing to work with me, 255.00 payments for 3 months for pay it off it full in a week. Or if I wanted to take it to court (her story changed now) it would be closer to 2,900.00 for court fee, lawyer fees etc. So, while trying to get some more information form her she had to go because her shift was ending. SCAM!!!
