I called it too and just says error mailbox full. I read just info they have been sued by New york BBB. do you know who they are

Threatening me with service of papers and taking me to court.  No proof that this item even refers to me. Get the run around when attempting to call back.

Also told me I was going to be served with papers to go to court at my home and place of employment. But, when I called back, I got no answer.

I just received call today, they knew my nme, lst 4 digits of my social security nmbr, said that i needed to contact their legal dept, and if i didnt i would be served papers at home and at my work. even gave me the file nmbr.  In June 2013, i received that same call, they said the same thing as today, but that i was to contact a person by the name of Shawn Taylor, and to call 855-972-6643

I just got a call from this number today. Ms. White sound rushed and she read off the last 4 digits of my social. And was like you will get serviced blah blah. I tried to call back but I got a busy signal.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR DEBIT CARD NUMBER, ETC.  They are phony debt collectors.  They won't give their address and hang up on you if you ask them.  These businesses purchase old junk debts for pennies and try to collect on them, even though they are WAY past the statute of limitations.  Attorneys have been contacted about them, and they are vapor.  They have a name but you won't be able to get any information out of them.  They threaten legal action, etc. but it's all fake.  In fact, when you hear from them, call the New York Attorney General's Office.  Make sure you get the company name they give you so you can give it to authorities.  Don't give this company ANY personal information on you or about you.  If you ask them for paperwork about your debt, they won't send it to you, and they'll accelerate their threats.  They'll claim quickly to be a lawyer's office but when you ask them if that's what they said, they'll hang up. They also will claim that someone's going to come and arrest you.  This is also untrue.  

By the way:  if you owe a real debt, you should be able to obtain full information on any company that says they deal with a debt.  Things to remember:  if you are going to get a summons about anything, nobody calls you first to tell you when you'll get a summons.  Second, it is against the law for a debt collector to threaten jail, arrest, summons, etc.  If you need confirmation, look up the Fair Debtor's Act.  

Don't fall for this company's illegal tactics.  

Another trick they'll do:  they'll call you from "unknown" number and claim they're NPPR (National Professional Process Servers) and they'll give you a number to call "Plaintiff's Office."  This is a scam.  There's nothing called a "Plaintiff's Office."  The number they give you is for Check and Credit Reporting, Inc., also scammers.

A friend just got this kind of call and we asked a lot of questions and they really couldn't answer any of them.  Threatened her that if she didn't make payments in 48 hours, that the amount would go higher and that it would be a felony.  We called a friend of mine that is in the banking business and he informed us that this is a scam.  We are calling the authorities and reporting this!!!!

They called me saying that I own money from 2004 and they was gonna come to my house and serve me papers if I didn't pay over the phone. Called like 5 times then finally left a message.

I got one of these calls just now from this number.  I have been served with legal papers before and YOU DO NOT GET A COURTESY CALL in advance.  It doesn't work that way.

received the same all today for an investigator harper. Will not al the number back. After reading comment contacting the sheriffs dept to report this. When/ if they do come with a summons on Thursday at the given time, we will be waiting. I've never heard of they calling you to let you know the date and time they are going to be summoning you. REALLY !!!

Harper called me too and left a message that he was an investigator and I will be served Thursday.

The same person tried to scam me too!

I just received call today, they knew my nme, lst 4 digits of my social security nmbr, said that i needed to contact their legal dept, and if i didnt i would be served papers at home and at my work. even gave me the file nmbr. back in "2011" i received that same call, they said the same thing as today, but that i was to contact CR Legal services , and to call 866-676-2418 I been receiving none stop calling I already called the county clerk office to check if I had anything pending under my name and they said NO I explain to them about the calls and they said there scam calls because they are not gone call u after 5 or on wkends plus they also said they send an officer to ur home to deliver the served papers .

I just received a call from a Kaley or Haley Applewhite, and she read off the last 4 digits of my social and stated that I would be served papers from the County clerks office at my home or place of work. she left a case number (623899)  and phone number 8666762418. When I called I got a message machine that said that it was Check and Credit Report Incorporated, and I am trying to figure out where this is coming from all of a sudden. Can someone tell me who I need to call to report this and find out what is going on?

Called my number this morning from an "unavailable" number, on second try left a message "This message is for C*** last 4 the social ****, this is Kelly at away from Penal County contacting you to inform you a local process server scheduled to be at all locations at **** North C******* road as well as a place of employment you must make yourself available to either location to find out some paperwork being delivered regarding a case that is being filed against you if you have further questions you must contact 866-676-2418 you must refer to the case number ********. Again this message is for C*** last 4 of the social ****. I called back and got the "legal department". They called for my husband, and were very rule do me when I told them I call Pinal County and they have no record of a Kelly working for them, and they would NEVER call me. They proceeded to tell me they were giving me a call because this issue wasn't with Pinal county yet....I told them they said in the voice mail they were....which is it? Hung up on me. This is the 3rd time they have tried this with us.

I called back and asked questions. Stumbled all over themselves. First said they they hired people to deliver docs for the state, then they said they don't deliver docs for the state. I then informed them that they called me stating they were from a County and they said they didn't. I told them I could play back the voicemail if they needed me too. They then hung up.

"William Martin" representing CR Legal Services. (for Check and Credit Report) Left a voice mail about 2 charges pending on a made up name. (not mine or any family member) only thing he got right was the last name. The last 4 digits of ss are not mine or anyone in my household! said papers would be served at my residence of place of employment. exact same call as "Rebecca" from one of the other comments left here.

Received a message from a lady named Danielle Sharpner and she worked with county state auditors office, She too knew my name and last 4 digits of my SS number and states to contact to resolve a resolution to 866-676-2418-number came across unknown.  advised would be served papers at my home and job and must provide proper ID.  also stated Good Luck!

I received the same call. This appears to be very real but since court records are public record  I searched and didn't see anything for my name. The person that called had my name and last 4 digits of my social. The message said they were calling to tell me they were serving me at my home address and/or a "possible" employer.  I've work for the government for 23 years. When I call their number back 866-676-2418 their mailbox was full. Side note: If you are being summons no one calls to tell you about it in advance.  Also, everyone should pay their bills, but NOT paying them does not result in felony charges. SCAM!

Received a message stating they were also going to serve me with papers and "good luck". Called back and spoke with Kimberly Washington. This is something I paid off 2 years ago (the case numbers are the same) from another company and she states they had no record of it. Told her I attempted for four months to get a receipt and they would either hang up on me or put me on an extended hold and then hang up and I finally gave up. I told her I would submit a printout from my bank and she told me that wouldn't work as it didn't have the account number on there. Again...same case number. These companies are ridiculous and I'm contacting the BBB.
